Check out the live version from Jimmy Fallon, it's better than the studio version. They actually weren't neighbors when this came out lol, Josh lived in LA and Tyler lived in Columbus, but Josh recently moved back to Columbus with Debby
One interesting point of note, this was the first twenty one pilots song with an electric guitar, like Tyler taught himself to play one just for this song. also I find it funny how you comment on how short his hair is, cause when this first dropped everyone was talking about how long it was :P
he is talking to his wife throughout the song - like she's the only one who can calm him down - whether it's quarantine or how he talks about their relationship they also do a live version from the jimmy fallon show if you'd want to watch that on your own time
If you haven't already I recommend the level of concern outside version it's very good and they changed it up slightly and added a new verse in the lyrics
You should actually react to the level of concern performance they did on Jimmy Kimmel. There are a few guests added to the performance and its a little more funky!
It's so crazy hearing you talk about the pandemic in the past tense (like how everything was crazy back then when this music video was released) because I'm from Brazil and here everything is even worse now than it was in 2020... Anyway, great reaction as always and I'm looking foward for you to check out "Doubt", it's my favorite song off of Blurryface :)
There's a preshow 3 hours before the performance!! Have you seen that announcement? It shows tyler looking really depressed sitting between a man and woman. And there's a good day dema mug on table. Fans are thinking it's the good day dema show. No doubt the 3 hours before is the storyline with actors and everything!!
A few fun facts (I haven't read the other comments so forgive me for repeated information) The music video was actually filmed in their homes, and that is actually Tyler's home studio! But I don't believe they actually live next door to each other. This is the first song Tyler wrote with an electric guitar, and I believe it may be top's first song featuring an electric guitar at all. Josh's wife is someone you might recognize! her name is Debby Ryan, she was a pretty big Disney star back in the day.
Tyler is talking to Jenna. Yeah, Rosie was born Feb. 2020. Also this is right after when Josh married Debby in secret. They are not neighbours IRL. Lol
2:20 Agree. Tbh I got a little emotional watching your reaction bc I got that uneasy feeling again of being back in the early days/months of quarantine. It was NOT fun at all and a very anxious/stressed time. I haven't listened to this song since last year. Btw, you have to check out their new single 'Saturday'. It's so good!
just so you know, nobody really knows who he's actually talking to in that song when he says "need you to tell me we're alright", my best guess is that he's talking to us or to Rosie (his daughter) or both. the idea for the song came from his mom who told him he needed to make sure their fans were alright and if they weren't, to make sure they didn't lose hope (we're all a bit fragile let's be honest). he's probably talking to us but the "would you be my little quarantine?" makes me think he's also talking to Rosie so... who knows? (also new top album juste came out, please listen to it)
I was just thinking about how level of concern fits in the storyline, I think that it’s Tyler and josh telling us their level of concern about dema. Trench tells us abunch about dema and how it’s bad. But we continue to listen to the new singles that we know are dema propaganda. Just a theory. Oh and maybe since we got Christmas saved the year, this year at Christmas we gonna get an album or single of josh and Tyler escaping dema.😂
Great reaction as always Daniel, as others have said, the Jimmy Fallon version is amazing - they change it up quite a bit with a couple of funny additions in the video! Also can’t wait to see your reaction to Saturday!
On top of other things the quarantine and world shutting down and all that scary stuff was weighing heavy on my girlfriend and I had the time period but especially with me and my issues, I related to this song so much because I literally just wanted to know if her and I were gonna be OK
I love this song, but makes me feel uneasy. It takes me back to the beginning of quarantine and mandatory lockdowns. 👀 Anyway, new to your channel. Looking forward to other reactions.
Hi Suffi, love this song, love your reaction as always. You’ve got some catching up to do. And work ahead 😁 Tonight’s the night !! So excited what we will hear from the guys - and from you 🖐🏻
Yea so this song has a bit of a double meaning it’s about when Tyler was getting married to Jenna and he was very nervous about it, but it also relates to quarantine as well
