Saw a reply asking why I say "for her level" when referring to Jihyo. Explanation: Because Jihyo's cord development makes it so that she only has a consistent handle of proper breath control up to B4. Above that, she drops support and struggles with improper connection, nasality, raised larynx, etc. Hence why I say she does well for her level. Jihyo is what we'd consider a "standard/average" singer. She has the right and proper handle on the soprano mid-range G#4~B4. The reason we can consider singers around Jihyo's level an "average" singer is because sopranos are *expected* to be able to handle that range with no issue because this range is quite literally easy for them. The reason we don't say she's more than your average singer is because, like I mentioned before, she starts showing struggles and a lack of development above that middle range.

@@ginebrafansincebirth I have worded my comments as informative and as neutral as possible, it's really just you if you keep interpreting my words as something negative. I'm all up for hyping Twice's vocals up but I'm gonna say it in an honest way. And its no way "underestimating" her, she's been a singer for 8 years now, we know what she's capable of and what we can expect from her. Me pointing out that she's doing much better then what she usually shows, is a positive thing.

The C#5 might have been shallowly supported too

It's because Jeongyeon dont like high belts, she prefer low notes or easy falsettos, because she dont like high falsettos too, that why she dont sing too much, because the majority of Twice musics is everything that she dont like, Jihyo is the best singer, so she has a "easy" on this parts, and the parts that they wanted to give to Jeongyeon goes to Nayeon or Mina.
