God. Radiant Dawn was my first game, so I didn't know the Black Knight from Path of Radiance, and when Micaiah was about to die and a 7 foot tall suit of armor with a flowing cape and a sword that shoots lasers just showed up to tear apart an entire platoon was just an 11/10 in terms of hype.
@@RorikH Black Knight is notorious for probably the hardest boss fight in FE history. One: you has to run away from him constantly in POR. Two: Ike has to face him alone in their final battle. Two: Even if Ike reaches the maximum level with perfect stats, Black Knight can still kill him easily. That means you have to pray Aether to activate twice before your Elixirs run out. And in Radiant Dawn, you find out Ike won in POR simply because of Black Knight's mercy. Yeah, he is definitively the definition of badass boss.

That is...un-ironically an amazing synthesis of musical themes. The last of the original dragons in a world well past its expiration (Midir) and of course this song...well it's quiet synonymous. Duma after thousands of years, decends into decay and rotting madness. In both cases, your purging dragon Gods that remain well past whatever glory they once had.
Music like this is the reason why I am thankful I stayed with Nintendo handhelds up to the 3DS. Great game and so thankful that Fire Emblem 2 was remade into Echoes with beautiful music remastered.
I'm glad Citra exists. This is one of the only 3ds games to look good upscaled. It goes to show they went all in with it. It's a shame it released on the end of the handhelds life. They should make a port of it to switch eventually it's a masterpiece
On this hallowed field the final battle for Valentina was made. Against he whose name synonymous with Might itself was this battle waged. Even degraded as he was the mutated form of Duma had no equal. Blows that would have broken armies held fast against his might. As these heroes of stalwart force refused to allow him to hurt the ones they protected. Curses and taint that would have poisoned seas were purified by the priest that he and his sister taught the holy power so long ago. Arrows rained down to blight the sky to hinder wings that were akin to hurricanes. Magic that would have sundered mountains was deflected, countered, and met with equal and jarring force from those whose secrets they had uncovered. And in the end. Those chosen by fate itself. One who encapsulated her love and his strength. Met him one last time. The golden blade that sealed his sister met his skull. And finally, after all this time. The God of Might later down his arms to rest. For mankind proved it could walk by themselves in this new world. And they would do it together. So rests Divine Duma and Merciful Mila. Ever we remember their love, their suffering, and the new world their passing granted. Rest our Divine mother and father. We shall be fine. You taught us how.
God I wish Nintendo would release some kind of fire emblem collection on the switch, so i can play all the pre awakening games. Also this one too. Never got to play it and i don't have a 3ds anymore
This amazing song was played at my school’s library thanks to me. Everyone thought it was from an old partiture from Roma’s culture. When I was talking about the dragon I made with paper, Duma, I told them that they (music and dragon) were from Fire Emblem and everyone became confused and started playing FE... Even history teachers!

Just finished my first playthough a couple weeks ago, normal-casual. The final battle had me reeling, even though deaths aren't permanent on cas. After the enemy summoners had fallen, I drew out the map-aoe from Duma, healed the next turn, and then went balls to the wall. Every unit I had that could do damage took part, Kliff was the one to bring the dragon down to 1 HP after dealing huge damage with a forged brave sword. Incredible. My only problem, and I mean only, is the weapon forging and evolution trees. Its so complex, you have to know the evos by heart, the game certainly didn't tell you the pathes either.
@Andrew miller Forging pathes are not a difficulty issue. They are a grinding issue, you need to grind for lots of money to upgrade the assortment of weapons a few times, and before that most weapons don't display that they even have an evolution path. I think for some weapons, you are able to evolve at 1 star, and others at 3 start, and if you haven't upgraded them to whatever star you need to see the "???" options, you have no clue whether they can evolve or not. Its an entirely seperate issue from easy or hard. You really saw me share my great experience, praise the game and include my thoughts about the weapon upgrade/evolve system, and *then* you chose to raise an issue with what I think of the forging mechanic completely forgetting that I enjoyed the game.
