Not the twin flame smoothie again🤣 I’m understanding why there is so much baggage about “narcissists” on the twin flame journey. Because on the surface it does look and feel like a relationship with a narcissist. But it’s not. That idea is for people who are afraid to look deep within themselves. There are not as many true narcissists in the world as people seem to think there is. Subconscious Actions and behaviors coming from “Complex trauma” (childhood wounds) pretty much always seem to be narcissistic in nature because it is in fact self centered behavior. But the difference between narcissism and complex trauma responses is this: a narcissist wants to feed their ego and supply the idea that they are just better than you and/or everyone else. It comes from a place of toxic pride. A complex trauma response comes from a place of shame and survival and not feeling safe. Survival mode, fight, flight, freeze. There is so much overlap between CPTSD and NPD it’s crazy. But that does not excuse any sort of toxic behavior and it is not an excuse to avoid accountability. Your twin flame is the one person who can trigger all of your own complex trauma in a way that you can wake up to it and finally see it. You also trigger theirs but they are not yet aware of it. They might even think they don’t have any trauma. But complex trauma is called complex for a reason, it can be very subtle and that’s why it stays in your subconscious for so long. Your twin flame wakes you up to it.
