I'd like to think I'm a bit like Special Agent Dale Cooper when I tell people that there's never been any fish in any percolator that could muck up my love for a damn fine cup of coffee.
@@rickdeckard1075 I don't care whether or not David Bowie ended up like a goldfish in some percolator metaphorically or not. NOTHING WILL BELLY UP MY LOVE FOR A DAMN FINE CUP OF COFFEE!
Was just thinking that while watching - honestly some episodes are a bit of a dry run in terms of plot development compared to cop dramas today but my god all the characters are just so fun to watch because they’re all so damned quirky in one way or another.
It was originally unplanned. The llama was simply supposed to pass through the shot. The unintentional result is what David Lynch refers to as "happy little accidents".
This was broadcast over network television. Not cable; the channels you can pick up with just the rabbit ears. How the fuck could this show have possibly existed.
And then everyone wants S3, and is so happy when S3 is greenlit by a cable channel giving David Lynch unlimited freedom. But then S3 hits, and people then realize..... you just gave David Lynch unlimited freedom.....
this is truly the most insane fact about the show that people don't realize. this video isn't even scratching the surface of twin peaks, after watching s2 and the finale in the black lodge, i find it hard to believe it ever aired on television
@@bryymiller2475 S3 is why everyone should be thanking the ABC network execs for beating a conclusion out of Lynch. If it were up to him the mystery would never even have been resolved. S3 was him self indulging at its worst.
@@omegamanGXE The whole point of the story is to not solve the mystery. Season 3 literally tries to beat you over the head explaining what the show is about, if you don't get it yet you're a lost cause
To make a scene as stupid as the "Ben and Jerry Sandwich scene" and put it on international television for dozens of thousands to see is to be a brave and honest artist. I aspire to be one day as honest as both once Frost and Lynch were.
It would have been "classic" if the llama @ 5:17 had come back offended somehow after Special Agent Dale Cooper had dismissed it only to be acknowledged by Agt. Cooper with the flash of a two-fingered peace sign without any interruption in his conversation with Sheriff Harry S. Truman.
How is the part when Leland comes into Hornes office and they all start dancing not in this 😂 also the log lady introduction makes me laugh every time.
Just on the first episode of season two. So far I think this show is really good. The last two episodes were amazing. I’m just waiting for that moment when the show get great like everyone says. I still like it I’m just looking forward to see what’s next. Plus this show is weird af. And I like that about it. 😂
@@toasterroast7678 Sorry for taking long to respond. Unfortunately I’m currently in the middle of season 3. I did have to take a break during season 2, because of the middle part. But I’m loving this show for more than I did before. I love season 2 a lot more better than season 1. I know hot take. Lonely Souls, Wings Of Love, Beyond Life & Death, Arbitrary Law, are some of favorite episodes of the entire show. Expect for the drug subplot and that weird James plot line around the middle of season 2 almost everything I love about it. The last episode of season 2 especially made me realize how far this show would gone if it continued during the 90s. I’ve seen the film and it’s currently one of my favorite films. Love Fire Walk With Me. ❤ Season 3 is so far better than I could’ve hoped. I love Dougie, Gordon Cole, and Mr. C. Also just saw Part 8, omg that felt like a dream in the best way possible. I am a bit disappointed that Bob is longer in the show from what I’ve seen so far. I know Mr. C is technically Bob but I mean his presence and scenes of him tormenting Coop or others. So far I love this show! Also Windom Earle was a lame villain.
@@thesuperguyboyshow4380idk if you’ve noticed yet, but the way Twin Peaks is great is not going to hit fully when you’re watching it, even if you are already loving it. What usually happens is it kind of burrows into your brain long term to where random moments will keep coming back to you over time like some kind of dream/hallucination in a way you can’t quite nail down and in a way that feels different from remembering other shows. That’s when you’ll really grow to love it - once you realize it’s somehow cemented itself into your psyche when you weren’t looking.
Lo so lo so lo so. L'inglese scozzese fa un certo effetto. Tuttavia io aspetterei a trarre conclusioni semplicistiche.
That timeline didn't but Laura wound up victim of something in the end, at least that's what I understood from the final episode. Cooper will endlessly try to save Laura but sadly she's destined to suffer at the hands of Jowday.
Ah, season 1, back when all the characters had purpose, nobody was floundering around thinking they're were 16 for twenty episode straight, everyone still remembered they're vendettas and nobody was trying to run insurance scams instead, and the show in general was good.
I just love season 1. Only the mystery made me stay for the second half of season 2... I kind of lost interest after the appearance of certain charcater and some very out of character things (in my opinion) done by Cooper
2 is perfectly excellent till the killer mystery wraps up. Even the silly sideplots episodes aren’t that bad, they’re still very watchable. S3 mostly sucked.
@@omegamanGXE I gotta say... I agree. Season 2 wasn't that bad to watch though it was better from Leland's death and before that except for the last few episodes. Season 3 was a freaking drag to watch, so much time taken up by nothing. It had its moments, but it wasn't really that entertaining overall.
u gotta really love the surrealism and horror of twin peaks to enjoy season 3 to the fullest. u also have to be satisfied with not rlly being satisfied...lynch defies all expectations and does solely what he wants with the story, which i adore. compare it more to fire walk with me than the show! controversial but a masterpiece nonetheless :)
@@spriteluver *huge spoilers for anyone who hasn’t seen S3* I understand why people think it’s unsatisfying, but you have to realize when watching- David Lynch isn’t telling the story he wanted to tell anymore. At least not originally when he started the show. Dougie Jones gets one of the happiest endings in all of Twin Peaks. That should clue you in on how he felt about being forced to “wrap things up nicely.” And we get what I think is a VERY satisfying conclusion. Laura Palmer never existing by the end of the show, all of that was amazing.
Look son don’t be afraid. We’ll all be there together. Afraid of what??? The funeral. I’m not afraid of any damn funeral. Afraid. I can hardly wait. AFRAID. I’M GOING TO TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN.🤎
