@@johndc2998 are you dumb? i seen people buy most aftermarket hellcat axles and they break in a week... and the zf tranny on the hellcats is arguably the most reliable transmission ever built
It it’s called “Compound charged” or “twin charged” supercharger for low end torque and turbo for high end acceleration. There is a really cool twincharged lotus that was filmed for Matt farrahs smoking tire.
There is also in Europe a VW golf 1.4 lt with the code GT (no Gti) and it has 170hp!!! Pretty good for a 1.4 lt engine! Usually at first stage mod (air filter, exchaust and tuning) goes about 210 - 220 Hp!!!
I love hearing ppl say "make it AWD" as if that's something you can just DO. Like, yeah, it's possible, but in the same way that it's possible to "make" a car mid engined. Gonna take a whole lotta fab work and custom chassis and drivetrain parts. And an insane amount of time.
This is perfect to get insurance by just taking picture so they will just think it’s a stock motor but secretly you have 2 additional features that only add like a horsepower or so... or maybe a few hundred but insurance don’t need to know that
I feel like this build would be amazing if they go the extra mile and fabricate a high performance rear wheel biased AWD system to really take advantage of all that power... so much of the power is lost in a RWD set up. Its badass but not efficient.
Smart hellion has always been the only ones making the compound blower and turbo set ups even the 03/04 cobra the twin turbo kit was made to work with the blower and the the turbo
This is my kit of the near future. I exploded one s/c already and love, the idea of being able to tune it down for the launch since these things don’t hook so great. Does the dude have a instagram or yt?
I know someone who did this setup. Supercharger didn't work the belt was just stapled. I believe he is going twin 88's now. He only kept the supercharger brick for the cooling.
N/A owners: I love my na. I can add turbos and get results. What can you do? Blow up your motor with more psi? XD hope you have a good tuner. XD Mike: Hold my beer
The block will take it, the trans will start to want to kill its self around 1200 wheel. This thing would be a low 8 high 7 car with fbo and built trans
03/04 cobras had same setup back in the day but even with built motor you will have all kinds of problems from the experience i had and saw cylinder head lifting
i'm doing alot of work on my superbee come april...new engine and the my car guy recommended a twin turbo setup. I wasn't sure if you remove the supercharger that I already have on the car. I told him my goal was to make it as fast as humanly possible. just not sure if that means keeping both or just upping the boost on the twin turbos.
Twincharge will get off the line faster (without antilag/2-step) and be more driveable, turbos only will likely make more outright power and have more big end. If you do go twincharge max effort, use a liquid cooled supercharger, meth, and air to water to air intercooler for the turbo, and be prepared to ice both intercooler systems before doing max effort runs, but you can pin open the wastegate(s) for street use and still achieve in the neighborhood of 1k between the meth and supercharger intercooler on pump premium, then switch to race gas/E/meth for track use when you unpin the wastegates. I'm planning on doing this on a B-headed 4.6 teksid block cobra motor for my 96 GT, either hellion or on3 twin kit pumping into a kenne-bell with a liquid cooler.
