Anastasia is such a problem solver. She cleverly looks for the edge to unfold the pinwheels. Love the way the girls work together and communicate with each other. Guinevere is so expressive. Two beautiful and bright little people who continue to lighten up my day.
You don’t have to justify in front of anybody! You are a very responsible and loving mother,so,you and only you know what is the best for beautiful for your wonderful and smart angels! We love your family so much!Your husband is a very loving father! He loves, unconditionally ,both his daughters and does all his best for them,I am so sure!❤️❤️
I think it is very kind of Alicia to explain her and Walt’s philosophy regarding nutrition. It’s not justification! I think young mothers could learn so much by following this channel, and listening to Alicia’s explanations. She avoids so many things that older generations did that were mistakes. Some commenters criticize and say things like they should have to finish what is on their plate-they still haven’t learned what a mistake that was!
To only taste something is all that is needed. Only eat what they want at a time. You should start teaching motherhood and parenting. And I really enjoyed you teaching them the circle of prayer.
I agree with you,,,,, you are an amazing Mommy... Your sweet girls are growing up in a very loving caring home. Ana an Guin eat so much better than most kids do. Very healthy fooy on the others with portion control. There's always someone out there to be nasty, probably because of how their kids eat. So be kind people, if you can't than don't watch or comment. Your awesome Alicia
Guin asking for Ana's help in unrolling her pinwheel was so sweet and loved their sharing back & forth. Their communication today was better than ever.
Alecia, I am truly amazed by their speech, comprehension and communication. You and Walt are superb parents! What a joy to watch them grow and to listen to your wisdom!
Yes Alicia and Walt are just the best!! Anastasia and Guinevere have wonderful parents. They are doing so-o well with their comprehension and speech, you're right!
@@wendyadams5232 I have a friend who never cut her children's hair. They never have had a trim even. I thought she was making a mistake because for about a year or two it was just wispy and scraggly, but now that they are 8 and 10, they have thick manes of hair past their waists, so who knows? 🤷♀
There is nothing NOT to like in this video. From their conversations with each other to the food to their cute little hairdos! They are such a joy to watch every morning and I ❤ your interactions with them! They are growing by leaps & bounds! ❤🤗😘
Now Guinivere just cracked me up. After the cheese being stuck to her arm, she told Anastasia when she was "opening" her pinwheel, (that scary cheese) she told her, "the cheese will get stuck on your arm". I ADORE these babies. XOXOX
We were extremely poor and the good and nutritious food was made for our dad, and we got the cheap food like puffed rice with skim milk powder, or spaghetti (no meat) for supper, and sometimes just bread and jam for days when we were at our poorest. And we had to smell the steak and eggs or the pork chops and gravy and greens my father got, which made our stomachs growl. We went to school hungry far too often and we were hungry so much during our childhoods that it was an impediment to learning. So watching the Barton Twins being given so much variety in their diets, and not being forced to eat anything is such a great thing for me to watch. It is actually healing for me to see how loving Alicia is and all the ways she makes a beautiful life for the darling twins. She is giving her girls the very best start in life! And I love seeing that! ❤
Wow. If anyone in our family had to do without, it would have been our father. He always felt that he should come last, and made sure that we had the best of everything.
I am so sorry that you had to endure that while growing up.That can really affect one's perception growing up.Your father and mother were wrong in starving you and your siblings.
@@kellysaunooke740 Thank you Kelly. We had a very rough start in life in many ways: abuse, neglect and not being loved. It did have a lasting effect. All of us went on to leave home as soon as we could, to work and support ourselves at such a tender age. And to this day, I tend to over purchase food from the fear of not having enough. It doesn't get children off to a good start in life, to be sure. But thank you so much for your kind response.❤️
@@guestguest2030 I think the thinking back then was the breadwinner needed the nutrition to go out and work. And also that Irish patriarchal thing where the husband/father was king of the household.
@@karenvillanueva1301 You are welcome and glad you and your siblings are doing ok.My father was Indian and came from an abusive family. He always had issues with food.He did not over eat or hoard but he never would eat with us at the dinner table. He went without food also.
My mother raised my brother and I the same way. Never forced to try food, finish food. If we didn't like something she made us something else. Any food was available at any time. There were healthy foods and sweets and snacks . We had no eating issues. We were always in the 90th percentile for height and the 50 th percentile for weight. Happy healthy children who did very well in our studies as well. My mother was a pioneer in many child rearing ways. Happy to see you are doing as she did....and she did this in the late 1950s
My parents were born in the 1920’s so they grew up during the depression and eventually had 9 kids together. So for us, we had to eat what was on our plates because they did not want to waste food that they had to buy for so many of us. The only food I did not have to eat was liver. I remember my dad saying I had to sit there until I ate it….well I never ate it, so from then on I would have a fried egg while everyone else had liver 😄. To this day I will not touch it. One of dad’s sayings was “this is not a restaurant “.
Ellie, that's so wonderful to hear! What a great thing for your mother to do back then--truly a pioneer! We had no choice and little to eat of nutritional value, being very poor. And if we did get meat, it was often boiled kidneys or overcooked liver and we could not leave the table until we ate it, no matter how awful it tasted. And it makes a huge difference in how we developed and did in school. I left home at 15 to work and live on my own (as did my brother and my sister) and that's when I started eating good and nutritious foods! It was traumatizing going to school being hungry and being ill with pneumonia and being forced to go to school when we were ill. So I love watching the loving Alicia doing such a great job of raising the twins and giving them so much variety and never forcing them to eat things they don't like!! She's amazing!❤
There pigtails are just the cutest 🥰 Guin and Ana have grown so much. 1:13 1:17 There verbal skills are amazing for a 2 year old. Pinwheel rolls and crispy peas look yummy. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed Sunday💖🙏🌺💖💖💖💖
How sweet that Guinevere asked Anastasia to help her. 🥰 The two of them are simply incredibly entertaining. 😂💕 The ponytails look adorable on the girls and, together with the large vocabulary, make them seem a little older than they really are. 💜🩷
The girls are so cute with their pigtails! ❤ I love the conversations they have with each other, they speak so well. Ana and Guin are such good eaters, just willing to try anything and I've never seen two-year-olds love fruits and vegetables as much as they do.
Their hair is the cutest! They are talking up a storm and loved the harvest snaps! 😊I was cracking up at Guin handing back the tortilla to Ana and Ana saying thank you and devouring it 😂 And that face..."I love her back" talking to and hugging her cup. The communication between the 2 of them is absolutely precious 💖
Wow! I am sooo impressed by their communication and sharing at 2 years!!! The whole world could learn from these two young beautiful, smart ladies!! They are a treat to watch❤❤❤😊😊😊
I'm loving the lil pigtails!!!🥰🥰 And Mom, you're AWESOME with exposing these cuties to variety!!! I applaud you for NOT forcing unliked foods or forcing clean plates!!👏👏👍
The girls are so talkative today! It is cute to see them talking back and forth with each other. And Guen asking Anna for help, lovely! Also, Anna looked so relaxed with her arm over the chair. Lol
Baby girls are growing by leaps and bounds daily! "Here you go sissy!" How cute to watch their interactions with each other. Alicia, your level of calmness and patience is incredible. Truly amazing to watch. The girls are really lucky to have you as their mommy!
@@Kim_Texascat She corrected someone way at the bottom in comments that used that pesky word "babies". I think she's coming out more and more as herself, but trying to keep up the facade as long as possible
@@ChiTownGirl06 True. She was trying not to use the emoji Ebily teased her about last time. 😊 But now she is using it again. Each time she lectures someone she uses that 😊
Alicia you and Walt are amazing parents and how you’ve handled there eating is so special and the girls know exactly when they’ve had enough, they do you both proud xxx
I think I enjoy every video just a little bit more than the last one. They get more articulate every day😊... just so fun to watch. I had to pull my husband in to watch this and we both just loved every minute 😍💓. From their precious pigtails to their sweet conversation and sharing. I adore hearing them referring to each other as sissy. I could squeeze these two with hugs and kisses 😗. Thanks for sharing 😘
Oh my goodness those pigtails! The girls look beautiful! And Alicia, you are doing just fine with the portion sizes & the feeding of your girls! I think you are doing a phenomenal job! ❤👍❤
@@kellysaunooke740 Hey Kelly, I've been here.. Some weekend's busy running errands, family ect.. Other times (as in eagle terms) I just like to sit back and perch.. Lol🦅 Hope your good!
Thankfully, my Mom never forced us to eat something. She knew what her kids did and didn’t like. Many times, some of us 4 kids ate something different than what my parents ate. Why waste food. Thank you Mom! I love the baby’s hair. Too cute. It also cute when Guin asked Ana for help in tearing apart the pinwheel. Ana gave her back the parts she wanted her to try.
You're obviously a fab mother. Your twins are the cutest, and I'm really impressed with the variety of food they are given to try. Well done mum from London 🇬🇧
Absolutely agree, the variety of foods these two darling try is amazing. You let them enjoy their food, you never force them to eat something. I have tried different foods since watching!!! When I think of the children who are given ready meals and take aways it’s a pity that they don’t watch this. Keep doing what you are doing it’s brilliant!!!! ❤️
I’m 68 & was raised by my Grandparents. I was never made to eat anything either. Even at my age after giving birth to 4 wonderful sons, I’m a size 10. You’re doing a great job with these smart, sweet & cute girls!! Their conversations amaze me, full sentences!
Pinwheel sandwiches are really fun to eat. Ana figured out quickly how to unroll them and happily shared her knowledge with Guin. They are sweet girls! I love those Harvest Snaps. Thank you, Alicia.
Trust your own judgment, dear Alicia. Your twins look healthy and happy. My two sons were so active in sports, they ate like horses and were never overweight. You are a wonderful and blessed family, and I thank you for sharing your blessings. ❤❤❤
Good Morning Alicia, I enjoyed and appreciated your dialog regarding portion control, as I am of the generation you spoke of (much older). Your girls already seem to have healthy eating patterns so, great job. I love when they have their conversations with each other, they are the cutest girls on the planet, Lol. ❤ Happy Sunday
I just love their hair.❤❤ Listen to them talk how sweet 😊I’ve been watching the girls since they were younger and you don’t have to explain anything to anyone. You and your husband do a great job.
Alicia you are so right regarding the clean plate club mentality. The girls have their natural ability to stop when not interfered with by rules and regulations. Hats off to you. BTW they look so cute with their hair up😊
Love their little pigtails. Such sweet babies. I love how they’ve been communicating with each other. It’s so much fun watching them and listening to them. You’re doing such a wonderful job with these girls. You are so right about not telling them to eat everything on their plate. You’re such a good mommy. I can’t help but say, I love you all. I don’t always leave a comment, but I watch every day. They’re just little angels and I enjoy y’all so much. You’re such a good mommy !!! ❤
The girls are very talkative today and helping each other. They seem to enjoy the food and are sharing. What good manners they have because mom and dad has taught well. Love you all and keep up the good work.
The pigtails are just adorable. This was an interesting meal with all the deconstruction and trading back and forth lol. Never a dull moment with these smart, beautiful girls 🥰
This is one of the best videos of the girls. They are so entertaining & their vocabulary is most impressive for their age. Thanks for sharing your precious girls, Alicia & Walt!
The plates looked so pretty when you set them down and now they look adorable! So cute how they deconstruct their food before they decide if they want to try. The pigtails are so cute and their conversation with each other is something I could watch for hours!
I love how they help each other and speak with each other. They are both amazing little girls and I love their kindness to each other. They have amazing role models. ❤
