October Mode Initiated. Astros are simply a different team in the post season. Its impossible to replicate their experience in these moments. Teams like the Twins Orioles and D-Backs are young. Astros are a veteran team who have been here before, and have ice running in their veins. They may not win it all this year but they're going to be a tough team to beat for anyone who ends up besting them. Nothing beats October baseball. #Ready2Reign

Altuve's lead off home run was huge for the Astros to win this game. That woke the rest of the team up and JV had a great start. It looks like Yordan is going to be a threat in the postseason again too, already a 2 home run game for him. I'm glad we could win this at home after the Astros struggled at home all season. Also just want to say congrats to the Twins on getting back in the playoffs, you guys played good today too. Go Astros!

I agree with this in part, particularly regarding the Astros offensive really coming into form, but I actually think this was a pretty shaky start from JV. Don't let the scoreline fool you, the twins were hitting him all over the place in the first three innings, only bailed out by some well timed double plays. If the twins had capitalized on those baserunners early this game could've been very different. Still pulled out the win though

Royce Lewis is the real deal, but I don’t think he alone can save the Twins. The pitching has to be better especially against the Astros, because once the Astros get the lead, they rarely give it back.

He wasn’t really dominant, he was decent. We ran up his pitch count, got runners on but bailed him out and squandered our chances. And our base-running was horrible too. He was extremely fortunate with the ground all double plays too.

Astros always find some way to make it close . They hate when things are easy. Things were going way too well for Neris to come in and pitch his best. I'm surprised Pressly didn't make it a tie. Astros will lose game two only because a win would give them a big advantage, and well, like I said before, they are allergic to an advantage and easy.

The first day here shows that every single team can win in the postseason, even if a team has a very good regular season record. Only the Astros managed to hold off the twins with some excellent offense. (although the astros has a horeible record at home)The remaining 3 (Orioles, Braves and Dodgers) all lost today due to a bad offense. Excited to see how the ALDS will turn out tomorrow.

Well what you didn’t see is before the game we gave him a big ovation but he’s not apart of the team we aren’t gonna cheer for him once the game starts
