On TE website it says this is one of two new products. I thought by now TE was a well known brand, but nobody is covering this. They are all on Arturia and some other name.

Hands on FM. Do not expect answers from you, just lots of questions on this synth. Two algorithm sliders on 1 and 5 operators? Runs two at the same time? One master ADSR, or is that switchable/assignable to each oscillator? One ADSR for each operator, is that level OR time based? Feedback only on 1 and 5 operators? Looks great for physical control. Does the physical control mean limitations compared to a DX? 3 LFO's, or again, switchable and assignable? Nice to see a filter section.

(from what I remember): - 2 Layers: Two independently working operator configuration (One 4 Operator and another 2 operator based algorithm, runs two at the same time) - Each operator has its own level and time based ADSR envelpe (Sustain is based on level), - Feedback on operator 1 and 5 (like in many vintage FM synths) - (Does the physical control mean limitations compared to a DX?) It shouldn't - Assignable LFOs, Envelopes (that most likely can be put into loop-mode ,too, but I am not sure about that) - Plus 128 Step Sequencer, chrod mode and Arpeggiator - Analog Multimode Filter

I sold the Megafm cause it was terrible trying to operate the menu functions/know where u are and how to get back , and volume on every patch was too drastic

Not trying to be a smart-ass but are you sure you are talking about the MEGAfm? There aren't many menu functions on that unit, apart from a few global settings. And the volume can be setup globally if you like. You might consider to decrease the volume (always thought that was the purpose of a volume knob), or not to raise it over 12 o'clock. That's when the overdrive kicks in which might not be everyone's taste.

You’re talking about the Sonicware MegaFM, a very different beast. That’s a polite but fun tribute to the chipset sonics. The real MegaFM is a gnarly, knob per function, sugar coated nailbomb that takes a DX7 and lobs it out the window whilst punching you in the face. Much more fun.

Another desk top piece, has the wold given up on rackmounts…seriously deal breaker I have no more table space and cannot have a football pitch of gear, arms not long enough
