One big thing I learned while playing TM:Black is just realizing how good shield is in this game and burst dmg weapons being insanely powerful. Swear the shield is just insane in this game that not using it all the time is kinda just a lost life due to how aggressive the AI is in TM:B
I gotta get used to shielding more often because I do try to use other commands when I really should be saving that energy. Shield has always been insane since it's debut in 2, and kinda broken in 4 because it lasts "long". The burst damage in this game reminds me of 2 since you can kinda kill pretty much everyone really quick if you know the ins and outs.
I think your control over your car has improved since the first play-through of this for sure. I just feel like with this game it’ll feel like your just blowing them away and they don’t lose any health, then when they hit you with one damn thing your health gets half way gone lol I have skill issues for sure with this one. Good watch even if you weren’t in the best mood playing! Can’t wait for the next one 👍🏻
Anytime Jaffe is apart of the design/development team you can expect the AI to have the inducement of the terminator. If I can't do deathless runs on Hard with this game, I'd at least want to get to the point where I could play it well on that difficulty without doing any continues. Which vehicle should I use next time?
He's cardboard man in 2...Should call him that when I play that game (and yes, I'm still on that game one last time for a No Radar playlist). Glad you enjoy the content still!
32:24 Axel's no one's friend lol. The guy's a menace 48:50 Yeah, definitely play Darkside last. That character can get a lot of value, but trying to do so is about as pleasant as breaking teeth most times. Also, I'm sure you can do well with this game. The most difficult part of it is getting good at it. Once you get past that hurdle, there's significantly less bullshit in your way than TM2. Edit: Just realized I forgot to mention that the mines are great for dealing with hyper aggressive AI like Axel or Darkside. Just plop one down while they chase you and they'll run into it 9 times out of 10
Axel being a menace just seems to be tradition with SingleTrac/Incognito. Darkside is the easiest AI to defeat in most cases so I'd assume it'd be a struggle getting used to her with how erratic the CPU players movements can be. Yeah, there's no witchcraft, trap doors, or hidden fuckery in this game that forces you to put another quarter in the slot like 2 (well not too much). That game plays like an extremely vicious arcade game with how much it wants to murder the player off. I've never noticed Axel to be very aggressive...just yet. There's so much going on, and everything moves quick it's really...shoot it if it's near you with an indicator, learn their temperament through reviewing the gameplay.
And you are totally right about the gameplay comments, you are doing a great job with it, and I'm pretty sure most of the people are coming here not exactly to watch the TM gaming footage, but because of your personality and gameplay commentary
Thing i like about PS2 era games is how unforgiving they can be it took me ages to beat one level when i first played black hell i was playing spiderman 2 and it took me 20min to get past what seemed to be a simple timing thing
Never had a PS2 for some reason. I always grew up on Nintendo consoles for the most part, and stopped at the Gameube. I got absorbed into the PC Master race hivemind somehow? But yeah, games were brutal back in the day for some reason. I mean they were wicked on 16bit consoles, potentially wicked on full 3D systems, and still in the early 2000's hard. Wonder what medications the beta testers needed to deal with all that.
