In regards to the Japan region, remember that some of those players are working regular jobs alongside being in the OWCS, NOZL was late from work one match, so they started their extra support on tank.
1:16:01 my college fraternity has an OW league that I played in a few seasons. Jaws’ point about a casual playing in a competitive lobby is very true. I had a blast doing that.

I dont think it'll grow unless they change the format etc. Outside of top 3 arguably maybe 4 teams in each region u arent earning that much, even then u aren't earning much either. Heck Gunba who recently won owl last yr is on welfare this yr... and his team came second to only Twisted Minds. This is not good bcuz up and coming talent r gonna look at that and come to the conclusion of why bother spending a ton of time and effort into grinding this game for nothing essentially. May as well try and grind a game like LoL, Valorant or csgo cuz at least u could make a living Not to mention the format is not great. Why only 2 Lans per year? This isnt owl anymore.. we can do more (not necessarily cross region ones). I thought this was one of the pros of no longer being a franchised league. Why only 2 teams per region? Entirely fucks over Korea here. Considering like the top 4 would beat every other regions top 2. Even top 5-6 could comfortably compete against the top 2 in the other regions.
you cant attack people when you're underground, you can attack people while you're suzu'd, and suzu effects more than 1 person. theres a reason people dont complain about mei ice block, this is no different.
I'm losing brain cells listening to the "invulnerability creep" conversation... I really don't feel like it's anywhere near as bad as they're dooming it to be....
@YazzPott I assume you mean doom (ult), echo (can copy invul), tracer, sombra, venture, kiri, weaver, moira (technically zen as well but that's pushing it). Can't count bap because he only makes people immortal
With Venture, 1/5 of heroes (Mei, Reaper, Tracer, Kiriko, Lifeweaver, Baptiste, Moira) have some form of invulnerability on a cool down. More if you include ults (Doom, Zen, Echo). We've seen Reaper Mei work together well due to their survivability. This might only affect the top end, but who knows how it will play out until they go live with Venture.
