If you weld all the piping instead of vband make sure you check everything over every now an then because it looks like the piping will have some stress on it once the motor starts twisting. It's just really tight gap, but looks awesome, keep up the good work 👌

Are you talking about the intercooler? Because obviously they won’t be welded to the turbo lol. Same with the downpipe. But maybe I’m not understanding what you’re saying.

Kalvins Garage I'm not saying just vband intercooler piping to the turbo, I'm saying when you weld the piping solid beside the wheel well then it's going to hit when the motor flexes an puts stress on the welds. Just saying to keep an eye out on it in the future. Only reason im telling you this is because ive seen it happen, just heads up lol. Hope you understand better

Running this turbo on my 300 hp KA car, great service, great turbo. So far I should say..... I'm only making 15 pounds with a .63 ar rear housing, spools around 3700 rpm You'll love it

im surprised you didn't go with the 2&1 heat shrink and solder. I love those things and its a huge time saver as opposed to solder the old fashion way.

Not sure if you already have one ready in the garage before you got the new heater, but if you don't just a quick reminder to have a fire extinguisher ready especially since you have the new fire heater if something happens to lean on it and catch up you never know. Otherwise dope build just like all your other ones, this channel will def take off soon just gotta be patient you do great work

That turbo should be sick af on the 2J. I am running a Turbonetics 60-1 Hifi on my built LSVTEC in my EK Civic coupe and it made 508 whp so far on E85 and that was only at 16 psi. I just installed a Clutchmasters twin-disc clutch and a set of 2200cc injectors. My tuner and I are waiting to crank up the boost!

Just got the same exact turbo installed on my GTI VR6, haven't drove the car yet but I actually replaced a holset hx35 with the twisted motion gtx3582r and the build quality is superior to the Holset. The bearing cartridges are nice and beefy and actually seemed stronger than Precision turbos that I've rebuilt in the past. Can't wait to see how you like it man, and think of how many more parts you could buy with the money you saved from not buying a "real" Garrett!

When u do get the money I would definitely go with either a turbosmart wastegate or a synapse engineering wastegate. I know u have used Tial in the past but just sayin brother ✌

Coming along awesome dude. I had to buy a new turbo, exhaust manifold and intske manifold for my build as the previous builder screwed me over was such a bummer but I also invested in a duel bearing turbo rated to 750hp :). So I'm calling it a win. Also went a different style for the manifolds should look nice. I love that you are so into it. Nothing is too hard and your always ready to try. Best way to be with cars and if you want to own your own shop you have the work ethic of the best of them. Attention to detail is the name of the game. And it's your strong point mate. Smashing it dude.... love the channel.

Put a bleeder valve on that heater hose so it can be easier to bleed the 2jz coolant they have a lot of problems when it comes to cooling and getting air bubbles out

You're going to need a bleeder on that heater hose to get it to fully bleed out. Even with raising the car that's a known area that air gets trapped on these engines.

maybe look into getting some cheap wrap for the engine bay so while all these metal parts are coming in and out you wont mark the new paint.Once all done just remove the sections of wrap/film.

Are you concerned about clearance issues with that value cover so close to the firewall? Think about that 2j flex in that tight space ? That wasn’t a coolant flow port on the middle of motor. It was a factory block drain. Behind the head had a factory coolant lime port for turbos you should have ran your coolant line from,

IMO, why not get a reliable new borg for less than 800$? Dual ball bearing is great and all, but its only going to get you a few hundred rpm earlier with questionable reliability. Paying 800$ twice doesn't sound fun

If they do not have a trademark on the specific nomenclature, they can't do anything about it. Or it could just be made in China where they don't really respect that.

From my understand twisted motion buys Chinese turbos and measures all specs and balances them with garret parts. Very great turbos have worked on 4 cars with them and havent had issues yet ! All daily's too.(knocks on wood !) Lol
