Twister on 4K Blu-Ray is amazing! 

I'm definitely getting myself a copy. I heard that the Dolby ATMOS is extremely good. I saw this movie in the theater. I can't believe that was nearly 30 years ago! I did buy it on Laserdisc when it first came out and I still have it. In case you didn't know, Bill Paxton died unexpectedly a few days after having heart surgery in 2017; he was just 61. Today Helen Hunt is completely deaf in both ears. She had a couple of operations in 2012 to remove tumors that ultimately caused the loss of hearing. Coincidentally her age now is 61.

Re-watched this before seeing Twisters..sadly it doesn't hold up. It was really really bad. Twisters isn't much better.

Twisters was a really fun movie, not the greatest but I appreciate the effort.

Convinced me to get my first UHD i can't wait to see it. Just got the Blade trilogy in blue ray so i could show my gf.

I enjoy seeing your view on movies just how you’ve done it. I basically want to know if it’s shit or not. haha. FYI Twisters has nothing to the with the original movie. Wasn’t great IMO.

Most of it is really good looking but so many of the green saturation during key scenes especially looked awful . It cut away to non green tint and back to green . The new color correction made some of the tornados look sci-fi channel quality when they never did on film or bluray or dvd

Are you able to add screenshots of quality differences between transfers for a visual?

Although it was a great 4K, I was disappointed with it. Some of the dark scenes were too dark and I could not make out any details. Where the bluray of those scenes allowed you to see more details. Then the audio was flawed as well. The one scene where Jo & Bill are on the hill, the levels of their dialog fluctuates up and down. So not very consistent. Yes, it was great, but not a top 10 4K like everyone says it is IMO.

I only watched twister for the first time this year and I enjoyed it and the amp upmixed the audio so it sounded great as well

Turbine 4K upscale is better this nativ 4K BR way too dark sorry
