as someone who never really got used to the feeling of 66L, I love playing 2B now lol

same, playing her for 1 week LITERALLY gave me bad habits where i can't play other GB characters and do their block strings properly 😫 playing SF6 doesn't help much either, now my zeta went from A2 and is permanently stuck at A5

@@AdamJorgensen I think what that person really means is that you're having fun playing the character in Rising who basically isn't a character in Rising. 2B is playing a different game all by herself

@@Songofwyrd That's part of why she's so fun 🙂 I enjoy playing Narmaya, Metera and Charlotta too, so it's not like I don't like the in-universe characters. I just like it when there are characters that are left-field for the game they're in.

Poor Katalina is stuck playing like its vanilla Granblue in a game full of the absolute nonsense of the top tier and 2B.

1. She has terrible staggers, her normals are super negative on block that she's forced to cancel into a special move just to be safe. She has to take huge risks on offense like cancelling her normals into U dash which cost almost half your meter and you're at risk for getting checked into full punish. 2. Midscreen damage is terrible unless you're burning brave counters and meter to do decent damage but even then it's not that good. 3. She's susceptible to jumps. Her 2H may look "amazing" by it's mostly vertical and actually pretty slow. She doesn't move forward so once players start spacing out their jumps outside 2B's 2H range, she gets whiff punished and smoked. This would be fine if she had another AA like a consistent DP but she doesn't so you're dependent on a 2H or air-to-airs which net little reward. 4. All her special moves are horizontal besides maybe hammer but that's situational. A lot of 2B's mid-range can be jumped - she has no special moves that control or deny airspace which makes her susceptible to being jumped in on if you're throwing moves out in neutral...which a lot of the cast can do. Wouldn't be a problem if she had solid AA options (refer to point #3). these don't make her bottom 1 character but they definitely don't make her top 10 either.

@@DaGRAV3 This game has some of the hardest working downplayers I've ever seen. She's definitely mid - high, and moreover, she's an unenjoyable experience to play against. She's not as busted as the top but I'd rather face busted characters that actually play by the games ruleset.

@@Songofwyrd downplay? I don’t think she’s bottom 1 but I think her strengths are over exaggerated when her glaring problems overshadow some of her strengths when compared to the current top tiers. She’s high mid-tier at best imo, and let me add that a lot of her “potential” that people keep mentioning comes from knowledge checks that many players don’t try to lab and form counter play against.

She’s fancy new DLC crossover character, of course she was popular and people hit master fast with her. Doesn’t mean she’s that good lol, even Diaphone says real talk she’s mid, maybe mid-high at best lmao. She’s got very obvious problems.

@@TheCoolguymanly The literally only "problem" she has is that she has no meterless DP. That's it. People have been trying to say her not having a 66L is a big problem yet conveniently ignore that her standard 5M is a 66L but with sightless less range. It also leads into a a full combo, some characters 66L don't lead to anything big. I feel like the broken state of the game has gone for so long that people can no longer make fair judgments on balance. If it's not Nier, Seox, Zeta or Belial then they are mid or low tier. Ignoring that characters like Anila, Vaseraga, Lavina, Metera, Percival, Katalina, Ferry and Zooy exist, those are actual mid to low tier characters with lots of issues.

@@taigaaisaka6305 Diaphone literally in this video description says she's mid tier, and has decent offense, but suffers on defense and damage output. And this is someone who's played her at the highest level. Also her not having a proper 66L is a problem straight up. Her 5M might "act" like one, but that's literally just her tool kit having to compensate for her not having one! Other characters get to have a 5M AND a 66L! And the game isn't in a broken state at all, people are just calling a spade a spade, and a mid tier character that relies on knowledge checks and gimmicks just that. Also I personally, do not agree at all with taking away system mechanics from a character to try and make them "unique". Their skillset and toolkit should compliment the mechanics, not compensate for them. I think even if she isn't literally bottom 1, she's just a bizarrely made character.

@@TheCoolguymanly The problem with 2B isn't that she's as strong as the top five, she's an obnoxious knowledge check who gets to play by an entirely different set of rules than the entire rest of the cast. Even as characters that have good matchups against her, she's fucking tedious to play against and I'd rather fight Seox any day of the week.

Gbvsr system is so restricted it is hard to balance around it, therefore it most likely will never be.

getting far in a tournament with arguably a bottom 1 character doesn't make them "good", just means the player knows how to use their strengths. Not to mention 2B is a huge knowledge check character, especially when she's been out for like, what? Barely a week when Dia entered TNS?

Great news, you don't have to learn neutral as 2B because your buttons hit entire zip codes. Unga Bunga is already the name of the game in Granblue, anyway.

She deals with ZONER decently One zoner Metera Ferry and Uno zoning are too fast for her anti zoning tools to work, and bubz can just mode change to rushdown

@@V2ULTRAKill I think she forces ferry to get in, I think you mistake her grappling move that lets her get in as her only tool to deal with zoners, which fair enough is one, but hardly the main one, 2B has a faster fireball which beats other fireballs, and has the fastest dash speed so she gets close enough to start working on offense, and I don't think beelzebub is exactly a zoner, because all his stuff kind of doesnt matter since dodging is a thing, but maybe thats just my own experience, I don't think she deals with every zoner decently, because obviously there's the ones that apply offense more effectively than zoning, and zoning just being a part of their kit, like with andre, which agains circle backs to my point, she can work decently against zoner, not neccesarily beat them on a say, 7/3 matchup or something, her offense is good, but she lacks defensive options, you know the drill, I think she just need some minor adjustments to not be so bad on paper, but then again granblue feels pretty balance if you ask me.

@@ZeroillusionX 2B fireball is actually really slow It loses to everything ferry has except medium hitgrab just like grapple Her dash gets checked by every single ferry poke except at already kissing range Her H pokes are slow than ferry f.H Ferry is actually an arguable worst matchup for 2B, every tool she has ferry can answer either proactively or reactively 2B isnt good against zoners (except metera) shes good against non zoners that try to zone with slow fireballs (katalane, anila, and djeeta) Every zoner and psuedo zoner except metera has fireballs fast enough to beat laser and grapple, or can mode change into rushdown which 2B is also bad at answering Bubz and ferry beat 2B 6/4, anre wins 7/3 and metera only loses 6/4 because she can still mode change to rushdown with resets 2B cant actually beat without BC or her dp

@@V2ULTRAKill that sounds reasonable enough to me, again im mostly speaking on my own experience, how I perceive her after playing her and all that, again, that's just my experience, but I can see what you mean, but I still wouldn't put her as the worst character, she has some redeeming qualities, but can totally agree with saying she's a lackluster addition to the cast, not I expected from a DLC character, let alone one as hype as 2B, but maybe they'll buff her? maybe.
