I am 100% convinced that "The Ray Way" is, in fact, the best way and the devs would be proud.

I love watching Ray do this playthrough "blind" I learned so much about how to do things differently; like shadow Link, bombchus being good for false floor detection, that scarecrow in the shadow temple. Dad's got good gamer instincts

Played this game over and over since 1997 and Ray has shown me so many different things I didn’t do in the game. This play through was truly great

Insane that you got 33/36 heart pieces on a somewhat-blind run. For the 3 you missed, you get 2 from some frogs at Zora River; there's a log you stand on as child Link and play all of your songs for them. I THINK the last one is in the top left corner of Hyrule Field; there's a lone tree you can bomb that reveals a grotto, jump down it to find a heart piece at the bottom of some water you have to dive down. I could be wrong about the last one, but it was the only one that came to mind that I wasn't 100% sure you got.

Genuinely impressed you put the well thing together without checking the guide. Huge gamer brain. It's also always funny when you go "this is a stupid idea" and it's the actual solution to the problem

The triple backseating combo resulting in emote only chat was very funny to witness in real time

It was fun making both the chat and Ray being unable to unsee the fallen Hitmonlee shape in the map for the well and seeing Ray figure out the temples and their mechanics! Despite the annoying backseaters, it was great watching him stream this game, and made me relive my own childhood! Can't wait for the next Zelda streams whenever those are happening, I know I'm in for a good time regardless.

I'm really glad Ray ended up digging Ocarina after all these years! The game definitely has stuff in it that's aged poorly but it's great when you play it, you see a lot of what makes the game special. It's so easy to listen to the loud large groups that say "overhyped not that great aged bad" but when you take time to re-experience it, the magic is still there.

Fun fact, unless you want to 100% the game you can actually skip a majority of the Bottom of the Well. Just drain the water in the hallway and go to the boss room. That's what I always did because the music down there scares the hell outta me.

If you do play this in the future Ray, there is a setting in SoH that allows you to put the boots and tunics in the C-button spots, so you don't need to use the D-pad.

Hopefully this made Ray want to try the other classic 3D Zeldas, particularly for me I'd love a Twilight Princess playthrough as is my favorite game of the whole franchise :)

This was such a joy to watch! Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are comfort games for me and I play them semi annually if not multiple times a year, so I'm definitely one of those people who know the games really well. Because of that I forget how we were supposed to figure stuff out the first time, so first-time playthroughs like these are always really cool to watch! I also learned a few things I didn't know about! Thank you Ray for playing! I look forward to potentially Majora's Mask in the future!! 🥰

The wait as a yt frog killed me 😂 even cheated a bit and caught some parts live 😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️ but man i enjoyed the play through so much 🥹🫰🏼 ray’s 51 difference on cheesing some parts was great and mind blowing 😂 finding out so many annoying things i could have just cheesed 🤦🏽‍♂️

For a blind run, Ray absolutely crushed it. The Well's a bollocks dungeon anyway.

Yeah you can absolutely 100% randomize everything to the cows, skulltula, deku merchants, and side quests. When Michael did his randomizer for AH with Matt, he ended up having to 100% the game because of a choice he made in how he went about opening doors.

Always fun seeing Ray do more LOZ excited for the next time he dose one

Man, the Shadow Temple was definitely up there with the Water Temple for the most confusing and annoying parts of the game for me as a kid (it also didn't help that I managed to lose my copy of OoT for like a year after getting stuck there when we moved houses) but I definitely remember ending up in that pit with the block on the bottom a lot, and being super frustrated about it. I'm also pretty sure I fell with the boat the first time I did that fight. On a separate note, I remember always being bummed as a kid that the medallions didn't actually do anything. Every sage keeps saying "Oh, my power should be useful to you, here it is in this medallion." and this they just sit their in your inventory. At least badges in Pokemon increase what level of pokemon you can use.

wondering if ray made the song of storms paradox where he learns it as an adult but never goes back in time to play it so he can learn it as an adult >.> Edit: it has been so long since i played i forgot you need to do it so the paradox can never exist

I’m glad Ray had fun with this, but I’m sad he didn’t go do the Gerudo testing grounds. That could have been really funny.

I have terrible luck with betting on the channel, so for the on-stream prediction, I bet for exactly 3 crashes believing the game would never give me hope by crashing 😅

In a co-op Mod for OoT, each player is given a copy of any key items acquired. So you can have one person restarting the treasure chest shop over and over and the other player will get the first key again and again, allowing you to get through it to the item at the end without ever using a 50/50.

It was only from this playthrough that it occurred to me how it's kind of a leap for the game to expect you to play the Song of Storms in the windmill. When you first become an adult, you're gonna go around looking at everything, and in the process you learn the Song of Storms. You then can't turn back into a kid until you clear the Forest Temple, and your attention isn't drawn to the well until two temples later, so it's entirely likely you've forgotten HOW you got the Song of Storms, or at least forgotten what the guy said about it when he taught it to you.

Glasses is great, thank you for bopping the jabronies and keeping the community a pleasant place.
