IIRC, in one of the sabaton history episodes Joakim mentioned how funny it is to see the reaction of the various countries customs when they tell them their bringing _a tank_ into their country.
i guess im asking the wrong place but does someone know a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost my login password. I would love any assistance you can give me
You think Red Baron is high energy for Joakim's singing? You gotta see him doing Ghost Division at Polish Woodstock. This level of singing but Joakim is running back and forth across a stage and there's like no break in rythm.
4/21/1918 the day of the Red Barons death. Shot down over the Western Front and buried by the Australians with full military honors. Nearby squadrons laid wreaths on his grave that read in part: "To Our Gallant and Worthy Foe"
Fun fact, The Red Baron's Squadron was called "The Flying Circus" which was was where Monty Pythons Flying Circus, got the last part of their name, more precise The title Monty Python's Flying Circus was partly the result of the group's reputation at the BBC. Michael Mills, the BBC's Head of Comedy, wanted their name to include the word "circus" because the BBC referred to the six members wandering around the building as a circus, The group added "flying" to make it sound less like an actual circus and more like something from World War I. The group was coming up with their name at a time when the 1966 Royal Guardsmen song Snoopy vs. the Red Baron had been at a peak. Freiherr Manfred von Richthofen, the World War I German flying ace known as The Red Baron, commanded the Jagdgeschwader 1 squadron of planes known as "The Flying Circus." The words "Monty Python" were added because they claimed it sounded like a really bad theatrical agent, the sort of person who would have brought them together, with John Cleese suggesting "Python" as something slimy and slithery, and Eric Idle suggesting "Monty". They later explained that the name Monty means Lord Montgomery, the great general of the Second World War".
Fun fact no. 2 Initially, he was a keyboard player and wanted to sing only until the band finds a permanent vocalist. He started playing the Hammond Organ at the age of 10 Joakim played a lot of church organs because they are so similar to the Hammond Organ. He's not a religious person, but likes their sound
Sabaton actually got naked on their last consert with Dragonforce on their first tour outside Scandinavia with Dragonforce. Or actually on Dragonforce concert - as a prank...
Been lucky enough to Sabaton a couple of times. Once on this tour with 20,000 fans at Wembley Arena. The first time at a 600 capacity venue on Brighton seafront. They've come a long way! No tanks or triplanes at that first show, but just as much passion and performance :)
You should make two more Sabaton reaction videos. Both in Swedish but both got English subs. The first I recommend "En livstid I krig" live from Ullevi and "Livgardet"
sorry to disappoint you, but its actually from Berlin, Germany ;DD you can hear them scream "Noch ein Bier!" aka. another beer! ....so welcome in Germany and at 5:30 Joakim also shouts "Berlin" :) was there
Many thanks for these great words! That's exactly what I always try to explain people who think Sabaton glorifies war! They write great music about historical events and their performance is always awesome. Besides they are also really nice guys and it is always so much fun to visit their shows! By the way, here you can see Joakim playing piano and singing "The Hammer Has Fallen". It is from 2012 but still amazing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_MOPaA8RD7o.html
Charlie if you've liked this I recommend "Barón rojo" from the band with the same name, Barón Rojo. They're spaish metal and they also cover a bit of his story. One of my faves from them
You might get a lot recomandations but I would suggest Night witches and No bullets fly (both animated story version, but check as well Night witches great war live version since it has some jokes in it.); 82nd all the way; attack of dead men (and radio tapok version) and to hell and back.
i dont know from when this was taken, but ~0:50 joakim is either telling the of the "Sabaton - Noch ein Bier" thing/stories that always happens in germany, (me myself been there (sabaton concert) done that (chant NOCH EIN BIER! at them)) source: am german. prost.
I suppose that 'not ego driven' sets it apart as European. For me it is the exactly what irks me in American music. The antithesis to 'working together despite the differences, to make it better' which is prevalent in North American culture.
Music with capital M, indeed. Where other genres fail to try, Metal triumphs. Frederick II loved the french language, but was more ambivalent on the french...
Metal crue with music in full force. I do not get the slack that this band gets from some of metal aficionados. Do not forget that Voltaire was pretty disappointed from the actions of the enlighted despot called Frederick II. Horns Up!!
Hi man! I hope you're going to react to more Epica :) How about something from their debut album when Simone was just 19? She had such a wonderful voice a bit deeper operatic vocals. I mean, she still has a beautiful voice which I'm still in love with, but she has changed it a bit (might be due to the MRSA throat infection she had back in 2008, I don't know....) Here's "Cry For the Moon" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Dys1_TuUmI4.html Beautiful beautiful voice, just listen to it... I love Simone so much :)
There’s an up and coming 22-yr old Filipino independent artist that’s making waves. Please react to Ez Mil, Panalo Live on the Wish bus, which has 56 million views in a couple months or his R&B track First & Last. Other big reactors are all over his music. Don’t sleep on this artist. Give him a shot. He might surprise you. Ez Mil fans will come out and interact with you on your channel too. Filipinos love to sing!
Thing is, Sabaton is great and all, but vocal coach reactions are really not necessary. Joakim is fun, energetic and has great stamina, but he isn't an awefully talented or complex singer, thats just not the style they do.
He does have a pretty good range, and although his voice isn't particularly low, he does have a raspy bassness when singing that I really like, Idk how to explain it lol
