I mean I literally went and did the math, only between 30-50 trans people get murdered a year in the US and even assuming 100% of them are hate crimes you can't really call that an epidemic in a country with 15,000+ murders every year. As far as rates go the trans demographic is still well under half the average murder rate at around 2 murders per 100,000 as opposed to the average 5 per 100,000. Somehow I don't think the Harry Potter lady an ocean away is going around killing anyone, and if anything all this spiteful rhetoric, harassment and blatant lying is just gonna make change public opinion of trans people get worse. Hell, this game has done more for trans people than any of the complainers on Twitter, the game literally paid a transwoman's bills for her voice role playing a trans character and you can play as a trans character in game.
