Imagine being sooooo mad at how many words are in a comic on the internet or if someone says something mean about art you posted online. The raw energy and passion wasted on this petty shit is depressing. Lol

As a devout Ben Garrison cumposter, I'm glad our work is appreciated =) And yeeeah, there's a particular artist who does pro-trans comics, and while I fully supportive The Cause, their cartoons are just a bunch of statements with people drawn to be saying them, if that makes sense? Like, it never feels like the visual element adds *anything* to them. And yes yes yes GOD YES, I miss people just being insulting. Whoever taught the Internet the phrase "ad hominem" owes us a decade of quality content. No one who demands that everyone be polite is any less lousy with negativity than the rest of us. Also very much with you on allowing people space to change. I've had to explain this to (generally very straight white) lefties - that if you're arguing from a minority stance, which you almost always will be, you do not have the luxury of assuming that everyone who hates you is going to stay that way forever. If people can't change, you're screwed forever, because there's never going to be more of you than there are of them.

I do go through life with the knowledge that I'm gullible and I have to be actively cognizant of that fact when listening to others. 'cause the moment it slips my mind, I'm going to get scammed, tricked or lied to without questioning the other party even slightly.

I agree that if you want to make it as an artist working mostly in the public space you need to be able to take minor critisism but also if you want to make UNSOLICITED artistic critisism in the public space uoh also need to be able to take minor personal critisisms or being told to fuck off
