Was expecting to see an otter catch in this. Who else thought so too ? Lol I like your flip up snare. Little sketchy making it, but you made it thru with no broken bones.
Love your videos. Back when I was 13, my 18 yr old cousin and I trapped seriously here in Pennsylvania when fur prices were strong in the late 70's. My dad was laid off from the steel mill and we weren't going to have a Christmas. My cousin and I made $3,250 US and both of our families had our best Christmas ever!! Great memories. Coon were going for $45 back then for extra large, red fox $65-$85, mink $85- $100 for big ones and $5-$8 for muskrat and, of course the muskrat carcasses were great bait, along with the mayonnaise jars of shiners and chubs rendered into fish oil in the sun, lol.
I used to trap with my dad way back in the 80s. We used to catch wolverines, fishers, wolves, foxes and just about everything else you could catch in Northern Manitoba at the time. Thanks for the videos. You bring back a lot of memories.
I LOVE IT ! JUST LIKE the one you did several years back ! Can't wait to see another Wolverine for this year. Always wishing you the very best ! Warmest Regards from Arizona
Nice setup Andrew! The flip up pole set… worked in the past : still works just fine 👍 Hoping cold weather stays away….. keep catchin Andrew👍B Deacon Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦
Ah the ole flip up snare. Hopefully it’ll be full of wolverine soon. Three in a row. It’s a beauty of a day here on RU-vid. Hopefully you get the otters and another wolverine or lynx. Stay safe and good luck out there buddy 👍👍😎
Love seeing the catches in the air with them flip ups! Be careful riding by that set 🤣 I see the butt end of it hanging over be a shitty day if it hit you on top of the head lol
Glad to see your videos are back up,nice to get a update on what's going on. Fur prices are a joke. Time for a new hobby. Gold prospecting, pays better than trapping.
Glad you revisited these! Snares seem cheaper and safer for new trappers. Heehee. Hope your finger is ok, bro!! Glad you only have a rip to tell a story on the snowmobile. Have u ever thought about getting a battery operated Stihl chainsaw? Thanks for another educational fun vid, Andrew
Omg Andrew that was hard to watch you fell that twiggy tree! Landed on your ride mon! I thought your head! Cheers buddy🍺🍺🍺You better f.uckig snag something!
I always thought that was a great way to do it. I never did try it . But for a animal like a wolverine, it would be great. He'd be off the ground before he ever got a chance to chew out. 👍
I'm looking for a wolverive to do a taxidermy mount to replace one i caught with a friend in MT several years ago. He has it in his house and id like one to represent it in mine if that makes sense. Do you ever sell to a private party? Also, im in Montana. Thanks Andrew
Man oh man will it be awesome to see fur and that flip up. Wouldn't be a day of work if ya didn't hit your finger with a hammer lol. Many many finger smashings lol.👊💀🍻🇨🇦🍻🇺🇲🍻
@@TheWildNorth Lmao awesome brother can't wait. I've missed two seasons so far so watching get the fill a tad but lol. I might do some spring trappin maybe. Working nights for my old ass is kicking my ass lol.👊💀
✌🏼Yo Andrew,,watching again just for shitz n gigglez. Tip ups work danm good. didnt You have a heavy wolverine a few years ago?? the log was short? anyway Spring'22 started. Beer Salute to TWN👍🏼
I’m sorry Andrew but this video cause me to laugh my ass off at your antics I’m sorry but I had to tell you. I have been watching you since you started with the TV series. God bless stay safe 🇨🇦👍🤣
Thanks for sharing that set - that kind of stuff is gold to us guys who haven't been doing it as long as you. As to the saw...yeah, those are crap. I've got a bunch of folding pruning saws. They've got about the same length of blade, pack to the same size and you don't have to dick around with setting them up. If you need more reach, just lash them to a pole.
I'm alive all is good just working in town buddy! It has been a weird year indeed the fur trades gone to shit and things just haven been going my way lately.
With you being indigenous (native). How does that work for harvesting animals? Do you take what you want or do you abide by the season laws and limits??
Hey Andrew, I’d like to buy some chaga. I’ve got a few folks I can buy from but I’d be more than happy to send money your way in support of the channel instead. Let me know if that’s something you’d be interested in! Hoping the ol flip up catches another this year! Keep after em! Weathers looking good!
Hey bud hope all is well in your part of the beautiful God's country I was wanting to ask you if you happen to have any lynx skull or claws for a project I'm doing with the kiddos any claws will work thanks in advance and God bless
All right, Andrew, we all know you live a fairly dangerous life, but no videos for a month is enough to worry some of your subscribers! Are you OK, my friend?
