It needs the timing retarded a few degrees so it doesn't pre-detonate up top, there's a couple ways to do it but the easy and cheap way is to get a .47uf capacitor and put it inline on the pickup sensor and set the timing around 25 degrees advanced and the .47uf capacitor will pull it back down to about 7-10 degrees of at around 8000-10000 RPM, that will give you more bottom end and mid-range and top-end power, and it will be able to rev higher for more speed.
What $500!! Thats a steal..... 2strokes are a good platform to upgrade ..just make sure u check your compression & change your spark plug regularly.. keep up the great work guys ..
Adding weight doesnt make it go faster- DUH! theres a minimum weight requirement for every class in racing, (except Unlimited or Open classes) but that even goes for Motorcycle racing, stock-cars, Sprint cars, etc - They added all that weight because it was a little childs Kart - you have to be a certain minimum poundage Kart + Driver..........
look for a k2 pipe you use a ruller with a slot cut in it to tune the pipe I also adjust lean rich setting while riding I ware elbow pad to rest my arm on engine while racing

@Aaron Varghese i got 2 CRG karts, 1 iame x30 snr, 3 spare carbon seats that fit me, 3 steering wheels, a set of magnesium wheels, several chains, sprockets and pedal set and other parts for £1500. The engine alone is worth £900 2nd hand on ebay. So far ive used a steering wheel, its rear plastic bumper, carbon seat, and crg pedals on my tonykart, and that lots worth well over £500, and i still have the fully functioning x30 powered kart and a full spare chassie.
Do you guys not have many 2 stroke karts in the states? We only really race these in Aus, the most common engine for racing over here is a rotax or Iame 125cc motor that makes 30hp (literally about double the power of what you have there)
Hey! You guys are in north Dallas!!!!! I live in McKinney... Great vids! Wish I could hAve found some of these deals on CL! If you guys are selling anything please let me know I’ve been looking for a shifter kart or cadet kart...
Try to get a 450 dirt bike engine in the other chassis, i know they are not cheap but i promise you won't be sorry. Even if you run it single speed that thing will move out! Arrow is a great kart, make sure the chassis is not cracked, sometimes race karts develop hairline cracks on and around the welds.
I raced Yamaha heavy with kt100 I got 15100 rpm on strait stretch I can hear that not opening up all the way they are so fast I had a emmic express kart that I loved
