Two Additional ways to use our Poncho and Liner

I’m getting back into editing video again. Ive been camping all the time like usual and shooting video, but not editing and posting it. Thanks for the encouragement!!

Thanks - It does do really well, I’m really happy with it. Any of our ponchos can do this, but this one really looks the part as well.

I’m really getting into it. I like that the fabric is made by a company that’s been around since 1838, and the wax formula is a hundred years old…I don’t know what it is but that poncho just makes me want to wear it, haha.

So the Waxed Canvas poncho is our heaviest, but we were looking for an old classic style, like the cowboy blanket era and the slicker. The Xtreme HD weighs 2 lbs 8 oz, the Waxed Canvas is 4 lbs 7 oz. I love that poncho and am looking forward to all the accessories to go with it.

Will have some savings next year. Looking to get the canvas poncho then. And when I wear out the storm shield I'd like to have one made with the Dyneema HD if that's possible. With the camping I plan on doing it might not take that long to get the new storm shield.

For rating the poncho liners there are really at least two ways to judge the comfort range, and they are based mostly on how they are being used. In this video I'm really just demo - ing use for sleeping. We have 3 insulations for our Osni series of poncho liners. 2.5 oz, 3.6 oz, and 5 oz. Sleeping temps assume you are adequately insulated underneath with sleeping pad, or leaves / boughs of about 12" uncompressed. If you feel any cold under you, it will decrease the comfort of the Osni Liner as a blanket. With that said - 2.5 range in 35 - 45 deg F, 3.6 range 15 - 30 deg F, 5 oz range 5 deg and up.These are in the open, no tent or tarp. Also a very large factor is that in the fall your comfort level will be much higher than in the late winter due to acclimation of your body to the cold. The Osni's can be worn like a cloak or under a poncho as a liner, in these modes the range is much colder than for sleeping as you are generating heat from metabolism. For reference, in Utah I seldom use the 5 oz, in fact I have an Osni blanket but not an Osni poncho liner. I use the 3.6 liner a lot, except in the warmer months where I use the 2.5 (Lite). The insulation we use is Climashield APEX. Hope that helps. Thanks for asking.
