In this video I go through the design process of a set of full upper and lower dentures that are being made in two appointments. This patient has mobility issues and has a difficult time visiting my office. For most people I always try-in their teeth before they are finished so that I can verify their bite and the esthetics. For this patient I believe it's in their best interest to reduce the number of visits.
This patient also has coverage through CDCP(Canadian Dental Care Plan) and a majority of the cost of their new dentures is covered by the government. It's wonderful to see the Canadian government offering a reduction in the cost barrier to Canadians who need new dentures. This will positively impact a lot of people and greatly improve their oral health!
Being able to design these dentures digitally lets me achieve predictable esthetics and function. Before I started doing digital dentures I wouldn't have been able to achieve this type of result as quickly.
