@@Norman_Gunstan1 haha sorry man, yeah I have a tendency to speak quickly! Probably from the debates I practice for where I only have 7 minutes to pack in everything I want to say.
What an awesome interview! I'm 49 years old, general/trauma surgeon, and a carnivore. I wish I could have been there to hang out with you both! Great Job, guys! Keep spreading the message.
@@keylanoslokj1806 if you have a smart phone with service and internet access, you can afford to spend ~$10 a day on nutritious whole foods . There are several keto/carnival/animal-based diet videos on RU-vid showing how that can be done .
Great to see you both. Together with Bart Kay you are the greatest influence on myself. 75 years of age carnivore for that last 4 months after 10 years of low carb. Never felt better and I weight train give times per week. What a great life style for life. Keep up the best work.
I think of Dr. Baker, Dr. Chaffee, and Dr. Ken Berry as the “trinity of carnivore!” I’d like to see all three together at one time having a “chat!” This was an awesome interview! Both you men inspire me to “do better!”
Here's some good news: "Fast-food giant McDonald’s is pulling the McPlant burger off its menu after the plant-based product from manufacturer Beyond Meat left a bad taste in customers’ mouths, according to The Washington Times."
I’ve gotten one of my physician colleagues on board with carnivore a couple of weeks ago. He jumped in with both feet and is doing great! Feels awesome. Energy improved. Shoulder rotator cuff pain improved. His wife is now also starting!
I'm a 42 year old man. At this point in my life I'm not really following music, I can't stand celebrities or Hollywood at all. But this right here is like early access to your favorite bands new album as a teenager!! You 2 guys changed my life. Dr. Baker got me started and then I found Dr. Chaffee! You have both answered my questions in comments all over my different social media accounts. Your carnivore data helped get me going and everything you guys have been doing online keeps me fueled up to argue with vegans and help friends and family find the light. I assume I can speak for everyone when I say we are all so grateful for everything you two have done for us all. I had PTSD in a bad way for years and now I'm off all the meds and I'm probably the happiest I have ever been. I lost 90 pounds and got back into martial arts. Running, jumping rope and sleeping like magic!! Thank you gentlemen!! You are both legends!!
Lol, I fail to see how age has anything to do with following music.. Regardless, as a 34 year old musician who does keep up on new music (heavy metal and rock, for the most part) - I am very excited for this talk, between these two, also. They are certainly rockstars in the carnivore community.
@@XOChristianaNicole well somebody likes to read between the lines and make it about themselves. I apologize for describing myself and my perspective. I obviously should have know better 😆 sheesh...
@@theangryronin2152 I can understand how PTSD can railroad one's life.. I had a similar situation where I lost my enthusiasm for many things following my marriage ending quite shocking whilst I had a major accident requiring surgery.. I've been pure carnivore for a month now after mainly following Dr Anthony Chaffee's material. Definitely feel this is the way to eat / life.. Was it the carnivore diet that helped with the PTSD or had you found any other methods / modalities to release / process trauma? Glad you're on the mend. 90 pounds.. wow how long did that take to come off?
@@johnshore3095 I'll break down my progress over my journey so far with weight loss and the mental health stuff. I saw doctor Baker on Joe Rogan and it immediately made sense to me. However I didn't start right away. I suppose the depression and PTSD had me convinced that life was pretty much over for me so I didn't bother. But I still got and read his book, followed him on social media and kept thinking about it. After about a year I was taking 14 pills a day, drinking 12 beers a day and I was over 250 lbs. I hated my life and just said "fuck this" i decided to go carnivore and slowly taper off my meds on my own. I didn't tell my doctor I just did it. For about 6 months I ate nothing but ground beef with taco seasoning and bacon. One day beef 2 meals next day bacon 2 meals. Every week I lost a couple pounds and took away half of each pill. After about 6 months I lost around 45 lbs and got off all my meds. At that point I told my doctor and they were shocked and pleased. Because of my success I got sloppy. Back to beer but only a little and back to the occasional pizza or burger but about 70% carnivore. I had a long real-estate problem while moving and was basically stalled out. Weight loss stopped but mental health stayed pretty good but not fantastic. I discovered Dr. Chaffee and soaked up all his content and dove back into 100% carnivore and started working out this time. The first 45 pounds were lost with zero exercise. Then came a man named David Goggins. I learned alot from him about mindset and how to control your mind. I learned that all the hard work and hard times and suffering IS the reward! I just went nuts with goals. I started muay thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu 5 nights a week. At that point the rest of the weight was gone in 3 months. The diet makes you feel so good that it's very easy to change other parts of your life. All that combined seems to have completely erased the depression and PTSD. I have never been so happy, I get up a 4am everyday, chronic nightmares are gone. So out of the last 18 to 19 months I have been carnivore for about 12 months. Now I eat eggs, bacon and beef with salt everyday. The diet will help with mental health but to get to a blissful existence it will take some self exploration and work but its not hard. Just stick with it. Follow these guys and keep watching their stuff. You want to keep it all in the front of your mind. And read David Goggins book "can't hurt me" the audio book has more stuff than the written book BTW. Its better. If you soak up the carnivore doctors info and the David Goggins stuff it will be virtually impossible for you to not change your life. They will start you up but you gotta finish the job. Good luck friend!! And ask Doc Baker and Doc Chaffee anything! They are great guys. They have answered all my questions in comment sections on RU-vid and social media, it won't be fast because they have hundreds of messages but these guys really care about helping us. other carnivores will be eager to help as well.
@@theangryronin2152 Thanks for explaining your journey. And so glad you found those resources and inner strength to go it alone to start with, great intuition. I have in the past done two low card methods to lose weight. SlimForever book 20+ years ago.. and an HCG protocol... However as soon as I returned to carbs the weight came off.. not knowing they weren't necessary. In 2016 my marriage ended 6 days after a tibea head reconstruction after a skiing accident. This was obviously a blessing in disguise, but at the time extremely traumatic.. social elements brought me back to alcohol and then I lost myself a bit ... Long story short I feel I have turned a corner with this carnivore way as it brings the puzzle of plants being toxins and weight gain into clear focus... I have done quite a bit of inner work and have Goggins book on audible, I must listen to that again 👍 thanks for the reminder.
@@Chuck-be7ed Shawn seems shy towards his viewers but Anthony actively engages with us who view his videos. Both are good examples of the carnivore lifestyle!
That’s a hell of a lot better than Robbie and Cyrus over at Mastering (?) Diabetes. They rarely post A1c readings anymore because they can’t get below 6.0 on a fruit and veggie diet.
Hi, just a question. How did you feel initially swapping to carnivore as a T1D. Just curious as my partner is T1D and was thinking about doing it. Did you go to a consultant or nutritionist? 5.1 Ha1C is amazing.
@@grantashby5390 I am a nutritionist, and also a researcher of how our food is grown, and harvested... You don't need a consultant for this as many in the healthcare system are ignorant to the carnivore diet and how it works. In fact they only believe that people should be vegan I understand this as I myself was vegan for almost 40 years but the vegan vegetables and fruits raise my blood glucose levels to wear or have not been able to heal!l and have had many side effects and complications to my diabetes. Many still believe in the Gold Standard of healthcare, and if one goes against that, standard the nutritionist, nurses, and doctors they will lose their jobs.... also take huge look at who funds the colleges?? It's big Pharma and big Food, my question is, is there a confirmation bias here?? I believe so... Do the research, and you will see, and follow the money! Realize that the most powerful vote that we have is our wallet! ♥️
I started keto about6 week ago, and just started carnivore 3 weeks ago. One thing I found by just eliminating carbs and sugar is, my hair is growing back (36 yr female a few months postpartum with graves disease so my hair always thins after birth) my nails are literally growing sooo fast and they are STRONG. I NEVER EVER EVER had long strong nails. My joints no longer ache. No gas and bloating which is super nice. Im down about 13 lbs in 6 weeks.
I used to follow a weight loss blogger who would report every time she had sugar her bones and joints hurt..she didn't know why at the time. This was the first light bulb in my head that made me wonder.
Dr. Baker and Dr. Chaffee, beyond being a wealth of knowledge, both of you epitomize the efficacy of this way of eating. Thank you both for sharing your abundant understanding of health and fitness, and making it accessible to the layperson, while also debunking some of the pernicious misinformation out there. Beyond your ability to inform us, the fact that both of you exemplify the prowess that such a lifestyle yields is inspirational. Hell, just looking at you two paragons of masculinity probably raises my testosterone to super physiological levels!
I'm 52 years old and I'm a big guy. I started carnivore on June 1 2022 and today September 3 2022 I'm down 97 lbs with no exercise. I do have a homestead and we raise our own meat. Still have tons of questions but day by day I get answers. I had blood work done last week and my Dr went over the numbers and they was all super good. My D was normal but low. Thanks for the info that you share.
I can't find the words to say to you both, THANK YOU! even it is way beyond!!! my life is drastically changing through this new way of eating (5 months now) it is the BEST way EVER. all problems gone. physically and mentally feel amazing. I am 48 and thriving! Here in Belgium, nobody has ever heard about it. Everybody is asking me about my cholesterol, how i can not be worried about my heart and how i must have all kind of deficiencies, (i dont) and that if not, deficiencies will come and that i must not be spiritual if I can eat like that and that I dont care about the planet. I am basically a lost soul. I wish people would research and ask questions.
I suppose it is just a coincidence that the two longest carnivores are a man (22 years) and a woman (12 years) who are both smashingly beautiful/handsome, Dr. Anthony Chaffee and Kelly Hogan.
Just bloody love you guys, keep it up please, I'm 57, 12 months carnivore and in the best condition since I retired from playing rugby league 13 years ago, I feel like i could play again 💪💪💪👊👍
Two of my favorite, most knowledgeable, carnivore expert MDs right here - they are the real deal for anyone who is looking for advice on improving their health for the best life ever!
always enjoy Dr Baker but it's Dr Chaffee who on his channel actually discusses the science that turned my family carnivore. The way he describes why we need to eat a species appropriate diet and the reasons we don't even have the capacity to digest fiber and other veggies etc gives the hard evidence of why we are meat eaters.... and have 4 organs that work in concert to digest it... liver, gall bladder, pancreas, small intestine.
@@Norman_Gunstan1 I second that. Is it one of his videos on his channel. He has a playlist of his solo videos there but I haven't come across his one discussing the 4 organs.
Dr Chaffee discussing Australia during the plandemic and his surprise that " fellow doctors just forgot all they learned about medicine and respiratory illness" .... was just slipped in as an aside. I love his take on the future of medicine... "more problems more pills" .... instead of dealing with the causes which as we are finding out is heavily diet/nutrition related.
When you have a pain level you can get used to it and eventually it can feel normal. When you eat carnivore most of any pain related to inflammation can go away. So when you eat something that causes the inflammation and then pain follows you really notice it. This has been my experience. There are people living in constant pain from their diet and are also taking tons of pain meds every day destroying their organs. I also immediately feel old wound tinges of pain after eating non carnivore, but on carnivore there's nothing.
@@firelight-vitality carnivore being the absence of plants.... it totally is the fix to the inflammation, when the inflammation is being triggered by the consumption of plant chemicals.
Thank you for sharing. I just started carnivore (in my first month) in the hopes to get rid of inflammation. I’ve already lost 12lbs of water weight which is half of the weight I wanted to lose, it’s crazy to me. I can’t wait to see some progress for the painful inflamed joints and muscles.
Would like to see you two together again sometime both of you guys are helping to change people's lives for the good bringing back good health, strength and wellness.

2 of the best educators! Absolutely professional medical experience and knowledge is so appreciated but their personal history and practices mean just as much!
This was a great chat! My 2 favorite Carnivores. I'm 6 wks into Carnivore & it's helped me so much. Still trying to get my gut healed & bm's normal again with no gallbladder & after coming out of vegan & SAD. Hoping to be "normal" again soon!
Leanna, there is a method to cleanse the liver and the gallbladder.. Andreas Moritz has written a book, there is a protocol to those that have had GB surgery. Purging the liver at some point may help.
You got this! It takes time. It can take over a year! Don’t give up and get discouraged. I have 9 autoimmune diseases and used to be keto/paleo etc and always ended up eating way to much sugar. SUgar caused a lot of my issues ultimately and so did eating to many plants and gluten free snacks ………I am 45 and have been sugar free and on Lion Diet for 17 weeks this coming Sunday……and I am feeling good. It has taken a lot of time, but it and am getting better and better!
Great interview. Luv these guys. Going more and more carnivore by the day . And I do notice I am so much better this last couple of years . Thanks guys ! Keep it up
Thank you both for all you are doing to improve peoples’ lives. And thank you Dr Chaffee for taking time to address peoples’ questions or concerns in the comments.
As another West Australian, I love the content from all the varied carnivore influencers at the moment. My daughter has gone vegetarian and seems always to be at the doctor's. She worries about me, I truly worry about her.
Great seeing you 2 together. Dr Baker, I saw you on Rogan and never stopped listening to you. I have helped sooo many people getting healthy with your advice. And then came dr Berry, Saladino and then dr Chaffee. I need no one anymore than the 2 of you. Thank you for staying strong and fight this battle for the world's health. And thank you for giving the clarity on fruits and it's effect on metabolically unhealthy individuals as in the study you mentioned. I said all the time, I can handle alot of fruit and honey with no sides. But I always said that it can't be the same for an obese, pre diabetic sedentary person. Hopefully this study will help Dr Saladino telling people to not eat the fruits and honey if they're not metabolically healthy and if they are not very active.
I love listening to these guys individually and now better together. The sharing of their knowledge and experience has enabled me to live a pain free life. I cannot thank them enough xx
A friend of mine lost 182 pounds in at a height of 1.64m tall. He weighed 173kg an now weigh 90kg. He went from 173 to 115kg in 10 months. And this thanks to the knowledge you doctors give us ordinary people Thank you dr Baker and Chaffee
Great combo!! Thanks for being in one video! "Plants are trying to kill you." LOL I wish I could get away with saying that. Everyone would think I was crazy AGAIN! I'm the only one of 100 people at work who does any research and blurts out these things that makes people call me crazy!
I use to think my brother-in-laws were crazy for thinking gluten and other things (one even gets migraines from black pepper) would cause autoimmune issues. Now I see they were not joking.

Just like to point out. I eat grass fed beef in New Zealand. Yes, it lean.. BUT, the fat from gass fed beef is SO MUCH BETTER qualty than grain fed. yes you get less fat from grass fed, but the quality of the fat makes up for it.
@@jenrich111 Get it from a local butcher. Ask them for beef tallow, they will have it. and it is cheap. also, always buy meat from butcher, esp if in New Zealand or Australia. It's all grass fed.
I'm from Melbourne, Victoria. Those lockdowns were surreal. I went to some of those protests.. For a state of roughly 6 million people, there were hundreds of thousands of people at some of those protests week after week.
Yeah, oxalates in veg, beans, nuts, seeds, spinach that I ate tons of durning my stupid vegan days almost killed me when I went carnivore. 5 days of meat only and I ended up in bed and in pain for 2.5 weeks! Found out it was oxalate dumping!
Tell me about it! I would not have believed in the dangers of oxylates if not for my experience. After a few weeks on carnivore I started having all sorts of issues overnight. I felt like I had the flu, UTI, random itching spots, burning eyes, and a few other things. Doctor couldn’t find anything wrong with me ( this didn’t stop them from throwing antibiotics on me ☹️) . It has been a few months since that horrible flair up and I am still occasionally having some symptoms though not as severe. From what I’ve heard these dumping episodes can go on for quite some time. 😬 Do you still have any flare ups?
Sadly many vegans kill their dogs in the vegan diet but insist on harboring endless feral cat colonies all of whom have to eat tuna and meat 24/7 now all of Hawaii’s public lands are contaminated with Toxoplasmosis from those feral cat colonies BUT DLNR flies over state lands and shoots organic goats and sheep’s and leaves them to rot (to “manage” the land) while residents pay an arm and a leg for over priced meat flown in from overseas enriching the local shipping monopoly, as well as shipping in TONS of literal crap that goes by the name “dog food” leave it to humans to totally F things up
Interesting comments at the end Someone wrote in a comment on a posting on these topics saying that people have too long a GI tract to process meat, that were built to be herbivores. My response was NO...we do NOT have a ruminant stomach or huge hinddhit with huge cecum (like rabbits and horses) to process plants. We are actually built like the omnivores (dogs and pigs) and cats (strict carnivores). I learned the different GI tracts in 5th grade and remember thinking this. And then reiterated in veterinary anatomy classes.
Wow I didn’t know he’s in Perth WA. I’m also in Western Australia, was in Perth but just moved to our 200 acre property about an hour from Perth. I wonder what butcher he goes to. He should try Meat Machine in Maddington 😃
It’s disturbing that the medical establishments are still into long work shifts that cause loss of sleep stress on our doctors and nurses when sleep is so very important to protect their good health. I may be a bit sensitive about that because I get so little sleep myself. I have been transitioning to Carnivore after catching a few Dr Ken Berry videos. I’d only dieted a couple times in my 71 years, but after losing two close friends, my son, brother, mother within and couple years and physically grueling caregiving I was so run-down I began Dr. Berg’s so called Healthy Keto January 2023. I did fantastic and lost about 40 pounds; felt great. Then came the six oxylate kidney stones requiring surgery and losing my husband shortly after. Not able to continue with my 8-10 cup oxylate veggies, it made sense to try Carnivore. I am getting there; from what I am researching, it makes even more sense.

I was a child in the late 60s and early 70s. Was vaxxed and gut-damaged for life. I also remember drinking a pink antibiotic many many times. Always had IBS and chronic constipation. Trying to heal with carnivore/ ketovore diet now. Many good supplements from New Zealand cattle
The pink antibiotic is amoxicillin. I had reoccurring ear infections the first few years of my life and took several rounds of amoxicillin. It angers me that my gut health was destroyed before I could fully build up my immune system.

I'm 57 and started being a carnivore 2 months ago. I was already lowering my carbs so I cut out the balance of carbs first week then went to All animal meats, eggs and cheese.
