You guys flew the little blue and white sport cubs s together in the past I remember. I think the habu is a bit faster because its alot lighter. I ended up putting the viper 70 retracts on my habu. The fuselage is already carved pretty much for the nose gear retract and steering servo. While the main gear on the wing were super easy. I love the habu 6.

I saw that new F-14 Tomcat a couple days ago with the 3-position VG airfoils and dual 30mm EDFs. Decided not to wait until May and bought the E-flite F-15 64mm EDF tonight. I have my UMX A-10 hanging from desert camo 550 cord as a storage solution, and so I just ordered some blue pattern camo 550 for the F-15. :)

I actually enjoyed the added flite together. As you probably have seen, the go pro is fine, but tip it up more so you pick up more of the planes in flight.

Nice flying guys! Nate, you never posted the larger wheels you referenced in the video. Having the Habu STS, I'd assume you can just buy those as replacement wheels and install them for normal grass field operations on the Habu SS.

Thank you Nate and Abby for the great formation flight. I have to get up the courage to fly my Avanti S 80 mm by myself. It has a gyro but don't know if the settings are perfect. Stay warm and be safe. Merry Christmas to you both from Chicago south suburb.

For Habu to slow it down on landings without adding flaps, could setup the radio for flaperons , but adds a bit of difficulty by programming it in and engaging it on the approach before commenting on the landing (?)... Just a thought. 🕵️‍♂️ Another great production on the video and good info on some of the differences between the 2 models. 👍🤠

Me and my brother in law had a pair of 800mm T28's with an upgrade battery. They were fast with an unlimited vertical. We flew those a ton together. This video was fun to see you guys both flying.

Question, for a 1st EDF with a lot of prior rc fixed wing prop experience, you'd suggest the Habus SS 6S 70mm over the Viper 6S 70mm? The $$ is nominal..

On the Viper can you switch between SAFE and AS3X while in flight. Thought I read somewhere you have to bind it differently and therefore it locks you into one or the other. Great video man. Thanks

How about mounting a drone FPV camera in each. That way you could fly FPV formation.

Another excellent video from the happiest RC flyers on the net! And...ABBY GREASED THAT FIRST LANDING (2nd was very good as well). Yes...I think it would be nice seeing you two fly together again. I even have a suggestion...Abby can fly the Habu...straight and level. Nate then flys a rotating barrel roll around Abby's flight path...at essentially the same spatial location. The Red Arrows do this during their program...look it up on RU-vid (alas you can't add air show smoke). I KNOW you two could pull that off with a bit of practice. Abby will need to cut down the speed a bit, because Nat will have to fly faster to fly the rotation around Abby's flight path (Nat's air space covered will be much greater...so he will have to fly faster). May God Bless BOTH of you always.

the Viper has a bit of a "Waggle" when going fast... I cut off the winglets and it improved..

My first 6s Jet was the 70mm F-16 Thunderbird. Of course, I had been flying a 4s Dollar Store Foam Board F-16 that was 2 inches smaller than the E-Flite, so I suppose I had a leg up, but in low rates, the Thunderbird flies really nice, and if you have EDF experience (I recommend the E-Flite F-15) then the F-16 Thunderbird is a potential candidate. Of course, I have yet to fly my viper 70 and don’t have a Habu, STS or SS, so I can’t say for certain, but I have had good experiences with the Thunderbird!

Hey guys, fun flight, together. I have a habu sts, it has the same 6s 12blade power system that your viper does, somthing I installed. The habu sts comes with a flight controller and even tho its 8 channel, it won't allow flaps to work on any channel. I installed an ar631 with safe and as3x, this rx allowed flaps, so I installed large flaps. The habu sts loves flaps and actually slows down with them. I also installed retracts with rc castle viper replacement, trailing link, suspension, the retract motors were out of a fms f16 v2 70mm, I fabricated my own retract beds. I think the habu's stock gear are flimsy and have had good luck with my retracts being tough. The retracts and 6s(4000mah) battery definately added weight but the habu dosnt mind. Takes off very quick and lands very slow and light. The habus flight caracteristics are phenomenal!! I did add carbon fiber to the wings and horizontal stabs. This stopped the flexing I could see in the habus wings, at speed, during loops. Snap rolls are amazing with the habu sts 6s. I'm very curious at the habu ss's top speed with its 10 blade set up. My habu sts with the 1850kv 12 blade set up is no slouch.

Finalli i choose Habu Ss , becouse it's my first edf, and becouse i have only DXe... I haven't possibility of use gear and flaps, and becouse i can use cheepest battery... 4s.. but i can say, it is so beautiful for me.❤️ Thanks for your video , and Hello from Rome, Italy.

Go pro videos don’t cut it. You’ll need a camera person with zoom. Awesome 👏 video. Gonna get a Turbo Timber 1st. Or Maule . and a NX 8 . Love my fpv quadcopters and my DJI Air2S. But planes are like therapy.

I like both of these you guys are blessed to see able to fly all these planes and drive all these crazy expenses rc cars and boats. Ok so what I need to know have you see the eflite f14 tomcat for not to bad of a price it's about the size of the a10 just a little bit bigger with twin 40mm edfs but has the real functioning wings and all the control surfaces. I really hope to see this on your channel I'm so buying one of these

I prefer the solo flying. At 85 years of age a little harder to keep my focus on two aircraft.

My gopro 8 on 2x zoom (lower the rez as a tradeoff to get this function) works decent for closeups as in my last two vids of “Thumper” (QQ300 electric) on my channel but is still mostly unuseable even with a 37% gasser flown a bit away. I tossed my last vids of a 37% Edge 540 using the gopro on 2x but plan to try again in a few days for anyone interested. And the T Vo vid of the Mamba 120 is totally gopro 8 on 2x and still cropped in software to get that result. All for anyone curious…

I really enjoyed this video. I like the fact that you flew together, but I couldn’t see the planes at all on the GoPro until they landed and taxied in. Please stick to the good camera and have someone else film you flying together.
