Our team of former emergency services personnel have seen quite a few police chases, but we have never seen a fleeing driver use such a ridiculous excuse before! Nobody was hurt in any of these incidents.

I must admit that watching the U.K Police pursuit officers have some of the best pursuit driver’s. So much information, tactics, teamwork, vehicle’s, and use the equipment that they get provided with, like the Stinger & the deployment at the right selection area so that officers can wait and pounce one the car is stung & the tyre’s slowly deflate.

In the first clip, why didn't either of the marked cars just pull up and block him?

They might not have been in their vehicles or they could have had a prisoner/member of the public in their vehicles. Or maybe the driver was not in the car but the operator was. It could also be that they were dealing with an on-going incident so would not have been able to leave halfway through whatever it was they were dealing with ^ JJ
