Superwave mode modulating the Unison was some crazy FAT synthesizer goodness. Now to AutoSample my MicroFreak onto my MPC One. Thanks for the cool new patches.
The Arturia MicroFreak is an incredibly feature rich and perfect synth, full stop. Whether it's your first or twenty fifth synth doesn't matter, it's such a great instrument.
Id be curious to see a full track from the MPC and the Microfreak :D If you have seen andrehuangs 4producers 1 synth where they used the microfreak, it really gave some nice things ! Id dig you giving it a shot :D
Oh yeah I love that video haha. I actually did that with the microfreak and po-33, it was a lot of fun! The video is a few months old but you should definitely check it out.
@@FreeBeat I don't feel like playing with it. It's not as inspiring as I hoped it would be. And I like getting quick results^^ I prefer Model D, Crave, Mono/minilogue, even Volca Bass, everything is super accessible, LIVE The MF feels more like fiddling around in an hour-long sound design session (or until the ears bleed^^)
Well 'everything' on the microfreak is nearly infinite compared to 'everything' on the boxes you are comfortable with. As someone who has zero patience I disagree that the microfreak has the negative aspects you garnered from youtube. The microfreak has set the bar for functionality with incredible control design. I love all those things you mention but the MF is a different universe and even I can use it with ease.
@@evankeal it was pretty much impossible for me to get a good sound out of it. Surprisingly, I must add, after all those great reviews online. literally no sweet spots lol To each his own...
@@couchcamperTM Yes sir, sorry I didnt catch you had owned one, I likely am using it for different reasons to begin with but yeah sound is relative. So far I havent used it in recordings but I think its going to be useful, I created a bass synth patch the other day that is as inspiring as any I have come across. Theres some voodoo going on in it that would not be possible without the matrix and the everything-can-be-routed-to-everything design of the MF, wish I knew what I did to make it. I am very tempted to get the volca bass as a companion for it.
