Sometimes being wrong isn’t such a bad thing. Charles Houchens thought he’d won $100,000 in the Virginia Lottery’s $1,000,000 Money Ball game. He was very happy about that.
But it turns out the Louisa man was wrong. He hadn’t won $100,000. Actually, he’d won $1 million.
And it was Sunday morning when Larry Wolfe had an unusual question for his wife.
“Did I win a million dollars?” he asked.
The answer: Yes he did! The Covington man won the top prize in the Virginia Lottery’s $1,000,000 Money Ball game. He did it by matching all five winning numbers in the January 10 drawing. During that drawing, the Gold Million Dollar Money Ball was drawn, which increased the top prize from $100,000 to $1 million.
“Now I’m a fan of the gold ball,” he said
