If you’re familiar with Doug’s work and back catalogue, you’ll know that he can shred and tear faces off with the best of them! Some of his best work that goes beyond the pentatonic realm is his early material with Lion etc... Hence,being able to play anything, he made a choice to play for the songs he’s been a party to....and that meant mainly being rooted in those blues pentatonic licks. But hell....no one does it better!
