that's funny, when I started I didn't use assists nearly enough. Like almost never lol

I started training against the computer on 100 difficulty with only 50% life on each of my characters, also play on delay frame 3, once you can beat them then u will certainly start winning online

Just mash square why learn a character when u can mash a nd to make it easier put vegito gogeta ui goku 3 c assist mash square mash it like u never mashed before and then you'll become a master of the unknow art of the forbiden mash technique .

Playing top tier characters does not mean you are going to start winning

You go from a mild discomfort, to killing their point, and removing half of their assists (assuming a first char kill). Killing a character is miles away from just a 50-ish percent taken. Also there's also too much counter-play on defense in DBFZ, they can wake up dp, counter, reflect, lv3, gc, mash, etc... Half a character + some oki is great, but very far from a kill.

A well used offensive spark shifts the match heavily in your favor. ToD's aside, I regularly use spark to help push my lead if I'm already up 3-2. IMO the game gives your opponent a lot of opportunities to take the game back from you, so it's important to do whatever it takes to get a character lead.

TheHeavenlyDao I feel as if killing their point with spark isn’t as important as losing a character is a gigantic loss for sure, but most of the time the point is expected to die and if you still have spark with your two characters you can always shift the momentum back. I think it’d be more valuable to kill the mid or the anchor off of a bad guard cancel or a raw tag that you punished with an offensive spark as they are the characters that people rely on heavily to win games. I do agree with you about the counter play on defense as if you can kill midscreen you should since the attacker is definitely not in advantage on a midscreen sliding knockdown.

LordKnight I can definitely understand it if you’re up 3-2 as now you only have to deal with 1 character while you’re up 3. For killing the point specifically with a tod, it doesn’t seem as good as either saving the spark later when you are down or killing a mid or an anchor with sparking as you’re getting rid of a character that’s much more valuable to the team than a point for most people

I wouldn't say "so much better". defensive spark is useful for going back to neutral but its not amazing. offensive sparks are definitely stronger when used properly. Even if it's only used to kill one character most people are good with everyone on their team but they still have that one character that they really specialize in. Killing them drastically reduces their moral or if you take out the one character that meshes a team together that team then falls apart. Both uses are situational of course but I would never sleep on offensive sparks

Yea I've never dropped piccolo and Im top 100 and won a few locals. Ki blast shits on him. Against Z broly, it's no point. If you main him, you can not let him go against zoners. Be ready to have a 4th.

brandon lindsey but you can just have a trunks on your team with his ki blast that gets rid of other ki blasts or run double beam assist like trunks and krillin
