In this video we change the TX16s OpenTX Audio Welcome Message to something that we like. Buy it on Amazon: Radiomaster TX16S - amzn.to/3lifqP1 #TX16s ##OpenTX
This hobby is giving me the same feeling as when I was learning to build computers years ago and I absolutely love it! I did not expect there to be so much to learn when I realized I wanted to fly drones. Building stuff + computer stuff = my perfect hobby. Your videos are awesome man keep it up!
That is awesome! yeah, this is the most complicated hobby I have ever embraced. so much involved. key is to be patient and know you can't know everything right away.
Your very welcome you have helped me understand and use My new radio and I am now telling all my friends to watch your video series if they need help your a legend my friend 😊
Thanks for uploading this useful video on OpenTx, a bit ambiguous, steep learning curve transmitter firmware. Finally, did like it due to its super-customizing, personalizing capability, a single radio tht fits most of th RC brands. ❤
In Audacity, when saving the sound file: Find the dropdown menu in the bottom of the window and change "Project rate(Hz)" to 16000, then click the dropdown of the track and select Mono and set rate to 16000 and set format to 16-bit PCM, then click File -> Export Audio and choose "WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM" as filetype and click save.
I can hear it now, your at event everyone is getting out there stuff and fireing it all up and you hear all these your gonna see some serious shit messages haha I love it love your stuff sir and you explanin it very well, allot of these guys talk to fast or bad en. you take your time and explain it perfectly without getting to technicle...
Thanks for the great video. I found great wav file. I converted to Ch1 and 16,000. Do I have to rename the hello file on the SD card, or just copy/replace?
Well im done but I also added music to a switch .. the problem is when you flick another switch while the song is playing it does not sound off.... you have to let song finish before the other switches audio will work.. got any ideas???? Thanks!
Ok. So if I manage to get ride of the the switch warning because I've now got my switches in the proper positions, the 10 second Hello.wav file doesn't play all the way through because the home screen pops up and cuts off the hello playback midway through. If a switch is in the the wrong default position, it will play all the way through, just like your video, and then it will say "switch warning" etc. So how do I get it to play all the way through when the switches are in the default positions, so all I have to listen to is Doc Browns voice and not some annoying "switch warning" following it?
Would poorly calibrated endpoints be a possibile cause for full throttle flip of death? Turns out my AETR were off by 15-20 under and over. And anytime I would go full throttle she would desyncs or something for a half a second and recover most times. Just calibrated endpoints with your video and will go try to recreate the issue on lunch break
i did exactly this but my "hello" audio is extremely quiet.. I have to stick my ear right to the speaker to hear it at all.. How do i control the volume that its played at?
So much hassle just to change the bloody greeting.. I tried to add pictures the other day and I didn't work. Copied PNG and jpeg files of pictures in required format and size as other files there and tx16s doesn't see those in the menu. But it can see those in the as card.
I edited the hello file with Audacity. You could get the original file on Audacity then the sampling rate will be automatically changed into the desired format. Open the original 'Hello' file and edit it, then export it as WAV(microsoft) to the dedicated folder. That's all. It will save your time. In addition, put a near 0.5 second silence at the heading part of the wav file. It will not make the 1st part of the audio stutter due to the booting lag.(click on the beginning and generate silence) You don't have to install any chrome extension at all.
...Steve - in following your 'Change Audio Welcome Message' video, I still cannot get my personalized message to play upon powering-up the RadioMaster transmitter. In fact, I do not receive any start-up audio now, as I removed the original 'hello' file. My custom audio file was made on Audacity - wav file,16k sample and 16-bit. The transfer from Audacity to my Download file , then into the radio was seamless. When I check the file within the transmitter (SYS, hello), it plays fine, but again, no playback upon power-on. May I have possibly deleted the audio ability from the system files, or may a switch or knob which controls the audio volume was enabled. One thought is to reload my custom audio (from U Tube, Pink Floyd - Learning To Fly intro) into that audio converter you promote. Maybe Audacity isn't changing the audio parameter as required to play on the RadioMaster. Your assistance in resolving this matter shall be greatly appreciated.
@@TahoeSteve Steve, the 'hello' file is converted via your link, yet no start-up message. Again, plays fine in the SD card, SYS file. Is there a time limit to the message? Frustrating. Also, I've successfully added 8 'play tracks' for specific TX functions, yet I cannot get a 'bombs away' audio to play. Is the verbalizing of the word 'bomb' prohibited in the firmware? Thanks Steve.
Is there a limit to the length of the clip you can upload? I’ve followed all the parameters here but still haven’t successfully got it to play a sound in startup yet. My clip is 8 seconds long, is that causing issues?
If you do a search for " Open TX 2.2 Amber Sound Pack" you can find a much better voice for your Open TX powered radio. She has a great voice and quite a good sense of huor. One file asks ,"Was it mean to do that!" Another says ,"Well SH**!" And yet another says, "Your FU**ed" If your radio uses Open TX operating system, you can Use the Amber Sound Pack! It comes in a .rar format. So you need a .rar extractor No need to convert Audio formats
