Same. Especially, if the reaction seems not genuine and are just there to give a few smiles and that's it. Another thing is that TXT has a very story driven discography, so when people don't really pay attention to their music videos, it feels like I need to attach and itch. That's why I only watch a select few who seems actually interested in what they're watching.
I get what you’re saying, and agree with the sentiment. But with kpop there’s no such thing as ‘focusing on the wrong things’ because it’s about the visual aspects and other things (idol-fan interaction, celebrity culture…) just as much as it’s about the music, whether we like it or not.
@@priiifrg I understand your point as well but there should be the right amount of focus to everything. Yes enjoy the visuals and mv, theorise the story etc it's all good and I enjoy it in moderation but when I watch a reaction to hear the thoughts about the music and the reactor pauses on every frame of the mv to see how the members look and the reaction is just focused on their visuals while pausing so much that you can't even cohesively listen to the song, then it becomes a pet peeve for me. Again I didn't mean that people can't do this, everyone is allowed to do and react however they want when I run into videos like that I simply just click off and find something that I like better. It's just that as someone who puts music first, it's personally refreshing for me to find channels like this and I was simply expressing that.
Same Neverland is my favourite too, even Bang Pdnim said the word 'perfect' after hearing the song. And also the colour coding is wrong for Farewell Neverland

I felt emotional at the last song bc all these years-ever since their debute they’ve been portraying these young boys with no worries in their life and like living in a world that’s neverland like bc they are young but they are now saying goodbye to it as in they have given up on holding on to it and are going to face that harsh reality of adulthood 😭

Exactly! It feels like I’m growing up with their songs as well. I remember listening to ‘Drama’ when I was thirteen and tearing up a bit because I could relate the song with the things going on in my life at that time. I’m seventeen now and it’s perfect that they’re slowly moving from the ‘growing up’ phase in their storyline as they’ve finally left ‘never land’
I think the key fact about Tinnitus for this song is that it is something you hear continually that has no outside source, so it comes from within. So the Tinnitus is all the negative things they tell themselves in the lyrics about being nothing special so they can never be a star. They can't escape this voice because it is their own. That's why they can only be a rock instead of a rock star because they lack the self-confidence. And it's this self doubt that makes them want to stay safe in the escapism of Neverland (childhood) instead of leaving it behind to join the real world (adulthood). Of course this is just my interpretation. As far as I know they haven't said what the meaning is, but I know Taehyun said on Weverse that if you understand the lyrics fully it is very sad.
As someone who who follows many groups but doesn't have money to burn or a lot of space, I've made a rule for myself that I need to properly listen to an album and really like it before buying. I decided pretty quickly that I'm going to have to buy this album. I love every track, the overall vibe, the visuals of the MV, everything. It's so good.
Me too! this is the first Kpop idol Album that I have. I became Moa since their debut bcs i'm Army so i'm a bighit stan ( I never buy BTS album tho :") and I end up became Moa and bought my first kpop album, I bought all temptation album version

I really love how you read thru the lyrics sheets because sometimes the color coded videos can get the members’ parts and lyrics wrong which cause a lot of misunderstandings and confusion. I’m in love with Farewell,Neverland I can’t even explain how much I love that song and the emotions I get listening to that song…

Farewell neverland is really emotional. It really effects me and my sister. My sister is in her late teens and turning 20 soon. It feels very mixed and bitter sweet, I’m still 17 but turning 18 soon. It’s pretty scary and I feel so young still. I don’t really want to change or grow up. So farewell neverland really hit hard, it hit too close to home.
This whole album is beautiful. I thought the MV for Sugar Rush Ride was beautiful but their music itself and the lyrics take my breath away. Thank you for another amazing reaction. TXT are an amazingly talented group of men. Wow...men. yep they have grown up.
You understanding so much of their message as a group and their story is just amazing! I really appreciate this as a Moa, and you haven’t even watched the major storyline music videos or heard most of the songs. Txt is just very unique for me and with their story and messages and the connections. The guys said in an interview that this acceptance of adulthood is also something they are going through and the lyrics had so much of how all of them felt. I’m also turning 20 this year and it is freaking me out but this album really came at the right time for and I relate completely
It's very TXT for this album about them finally growing up to have what looks like an extremely sexy concept--as if sex=adulthood--and then turn the concept on its head and actually deal with themes of addiction, instant gratification, and fear of growing up, and then for them to sucker punch us all with the pain in "Farewell, Neverland." The members were very happy with that track, apparently. We can all see why.
If you are interested in their storyline (aka The Star Seekers) YOU MUST START FROM NAP OF THE STAR the mv is a work of art! It explores the dark fairytale story

Found you, when you did a whole TXT trip 😂 , and i love how you actually understand what's actually going on, and what the boys are trying to portray. It shows that you are serious about this, unlike some others. Love your reactions❤️. And if you ever decided to follow their universe storyline ( I always feel like TXT has got two storyline going parallelly, one of their universe, the Star seekers , and the other one , that actually relates to everyone, like the process of growing up) ..... Anyways😅, as i was saying, the island is actually their magic island, as you will see the train in the water at the beginning of the sugar rush ride video..... Love your reactions and commentary! I agree that Tinnitus is the song that expresses how they’ve grown up, but instead of not wanting to be Peter Pan anymore I feel like it’s almost like they’ve reached a point where their reality is catching up to them and they can’t ignore it anymore, even in Neverland it’s constantly bothering them and buzzing in their ears. So they realise that as much as they don’t want to leave Neverland, they have to. Even if they want to remain ignorant, happy fools that will not change the reality or actually stop them from growing up. I believe in the original story of Peter Pan, this was even the case - Neverland promised that no one will grow up but it isn’t true because Captain Hook is an adult stuck in Neverland. This might even tie in with the fishbowl/underwater sound - when you’re underwater everything is weightless and easy but you can only stay there for so long before your lungs start screaming for you to get out. It’s definitely a sad song where they are starting to realise that if they stay any longer in Neverland they won’t be swimming anymore but drowning (similar imagery to end of SRR MV) but that temptation to stay is still pulling them back and forth. Farewell Neverland is then the rubicon where they sorrowfully decide to go back to the harsh reality.
Farewell, Neverland: the guitar has a Spanish flavor, I wonder if they used a specific instrument or if there is a way to strum the guitar to evoke that sound. Devil By the Window: if you ever get to see the first Music Bank performance of this song, when they transition to the section when they sing "High High High", the performance [to me] becomes a 1920/30s German Expressionist cinema experience. And of course, you've seen the concept photos, which were very 1970s Robert Plant. Even their fashion from the Studio Choom performance is 1970s loose blouses and velvet pants. I love love love that they are using so many artistic sources for inspiration. BTW many MOAs are saying Sugar Rush Ride was filmed in Bali/Indonesia - so beautiful!

As for the Farewell, Neverland I think like you said they regret but they need "leave", but it looks like at the end of Sugar Rush Ride MV; Kai seemed hesitant to leave while the other members seemed to be ready to leave as they looked back and went to the boat while Kai looked back again indicating he hesitant to leave the "Never Land". Or maybe I'm wrong 😂 maybe it might indicate that Kai seemed to know/noticed something. Also I love how you give your opinion on the songs and how the lyrics connect ❤️🥰.
This album is just one of my favourites of all time. Every song is just a masterpiece (even if Happy Fools is yet to fully grow on me). Devil By The Window just has me by the throat, I already almost leant the lyrics LOL. Also highly recommend watching the live stages, partially because the lyric video got the line distribution wrong unfortunately. Farewell Neverland is my favorite song from the album too!!!! I immediately got hypnotized by the opening, the way yeonjun carries it out is heavenly... the whole song is a nice vibe and its a good song to end off the album

I've never seen any reactor that tries to analyze and understand their storyline so deeply and focusing on the lyrics as you do! I love how you broke down every song and put them all together❤ you really give justice to this album since it is well written and organize!!! anw this october they'll have a comeback i hope you'll react to that too!! well what i take abt run away is like the door is represent them entering the adulthood but it got burned down bc they "run away" from it and didn't want to be an adult, and because of them running away from that, it messes up their reality which is the classroom that also got burned down. In this album for me represents their feelings while they are in magic island/neverland, this is so well written. I feel like in hueningkai's expression in the end of srr, yes he looks like he regret it maybe because they keep coming back from the neverland or they keep falling from temptation. I know that the promise train in the MV represents the 'broken promise' of that devil but i can also use that as them promising each other not to go back at the neverland but they keep falling into that temptation of being in the neverland that why heuning has this 'bittersweet' and 'regret' look in him

Hii! First of all, I would like to thank you for watching very carefully and by connecting with the words. And I want to add something. Peter Pan is actually a metaphor. While being called "My Peter Pan", TXT is actually calling itself. To their own self (or anyone who feels that way is calling their own self.) And "Neverland", which we saw in the Sugar Rush Ride music video and mentioned throughout the album, is actually where they fell in TXT's "Magic Island" music video released in 2019. (At the beginning of the SRR music video, there is a train in the middle of the sea.) And this place called "Neverland" is actually a metaphor. People's comfort zone. TXT is actually talking about people who are growing up but don't want to take on adults, who don't want to take on the responsibilities of adulthood, or people who feel this way even when they're older. TXT actually tells us about us. They just do it in such a beautiful and cinematic universe that it's hard not to be amazed. Member Taehyun himself said in an interview, "We talked about human friendship relationships (The Dream Chapter series), we talked about people falling in love (The Chaos Chapter series), we talked about people breaking up (minisode2: Thursday's Child). And now it's time to talk about Adulthood. We thought." he said. I don't know what will happen next but TXT are real artists, I know that.

It is difficult for other reactors to really take the trouble to delve into the songs. It's no surprise that you're one of my favorites on the platform. On the other hand, I completely agree with your interpretation; I see it as the same structure as Thursday's Child album, each song is the phase of a single story. Neverland seams SO GOOD I need to relisten to it. Vocals and subtle sounds in the music, production like you said, lyrics too. YES, it really sounds like a season finale ! It acctually makes me really wonder what they'll do next... how will sound their next album. Because that's the thing with TxT, we can never actually know what they'll do. But... but all those Bsides feel very short... I mean, they are short but not that short.... (useless comment)

Loved this reaction and I love the way you interpret things. The stressful part about this though is that whoever's channel you got the lyrics from got everyone's singing parts wrong and got a lot of the lyrics wrong as well. So much internal frustration with whoever made those translations
I don't know if you care who is singing which parts of the songs, but in the videos there are a lot of mistakes about who is singing which parts of the songs 😅😅
