I had to check myself because I found myself judging him because of his tone and how lightly he seemed to be taking the weight of his sin and the process of restoration, but then I had to realize, this is what REAL restoration looks like. When God heals, there are no scars- only humility, gratefulness, and strength- all of which I sense in this interview. I wish Tye continued growth in his marriage and ministry.

I love how Tye says, that the message can't change just because he has sinned. Sooo many preachers preach around sin and don't get to the root, but I feel his genuine spirit about the word. We have all sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God, but don't stay down and never get comfortable. A child of God can't stay down, look at Jesus he did not stay down he resurrected. So if you got his DNA you betta get back up!!!

@NotoriousNYNJ You are so right!!! Tye’s preaching has always been on point. He just did not practice what he preached. His preaching was always based on the word. He touched a lot of topics most people would not even think of talking about. Look at the song victory where he calls out homosexuality. Or the song “Stand Out” where talks about living together before you are married.

I thank God for Tye's ministry and i pray that God will continue to keep him, and all of us for that matter. This Christian walk is not easy, but we must continue to ask God for strength for us and other brothers and sisters in Christ, so that we can stay close to Him and His will for our lives..

I look at Tye, Truth, Ambassador, Timothy Brindle and other Christian artists & ministers, and I truly believe that God is doing something in terms of humbling saints who are in a position to influence other people. Humbling them to the point where they realize that sin is ever present in this world and that we all need to put on the full armor of God EVERYDAY, lest we fall into temptation. We'll never reach a point in this life where we can let our guard down to sin, so stay prayed up saints.

@MrRnBSinger you make a good point, 3 Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer,a he desires a noble task. 2 Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,

@jamel11234 I know of a Pastor who said in the pulpit that he has struggles with tithes and offerings messages and therefore rarely teaches on the matter. Just because he struggles with it doesn't mean that he isn't responsible to teach on it. If we wait till "Pastors" have "MASTERED/MATURED" what they preach..I think we'll be waiting a long time to hear thOSE messages/lessons..if they ever get preached.. Jesus already "Mastered" life so when it's all said and done lets follow His example...

yeah, this also underscores the purpose of having strong, intimate, accountable relationships with one's church home leaders and with a Bible based church. Also, it is such an encouragement and critical that parents please pray for our kids and from a young as age as possible stress the importance of being a faithful person and having character. We mush confess our sins quickly ! The thing that matters most to young people are their parents- not someone else.

Everybody judges when people fall in public. Who here has NOT sinned? WHO HERE? I am pretty sure there is no one here who hasn't. Ty is just a messenger, he is not the second coming. I think he needed this lesson so he could understand people have fallen. He needed to learn compassion, he needed to find forgiveness and personal growth. Ty had to go through this to be a better messenger of God. I'm glad he came out and told the truth. No shame in the truth.

@MrRnBSinger i hear ya, im with righteous judgement. i believe you can judge, we are to keep each other in check, and help build each other up. im with you on this! i like Tye im glad he's back, i like his music, but i can't help but to feel like he's giving me the okie doke at times regarding this situation, like, he's saying, "its done, its over, lets move on, im restored" but my thing is everyone else feeling restored, and what if this album wasn't coming out, would things be different?

Forget about practicing what you preach it is about preaching what you practice. Too many Pastors jump on the scene and preach first and then try to live it-- thats why elders and preachers should not be novices, they need to grow and mature to the point where they are preaching what they have been practicing for years
@CarmelaPattillo

Correction in the 4th line of my last post. "so he could understand people who have fallen." I think when you haven't been challenged in your faith you feel like you are above being tempted. I'm so holy that I would never be tempted. And I think he was right there and God allowed it to happen because he needed to understand. He isn't the first and he won't be the last. Ty, you keep singing and bring your message and don't be ashamed. Everyone makes mistakes.

@MrRnBSinger Yes yes that is my real name--- everything you are saying is right on. When our senior pastor was away I preached a message based on acts 11:26 called disciples called Christians. Those folks were marked by their complete and utter devotion to christ and thus deserved to be called Christians. In today's times we use that label Christian so loosely. It's amazing that 86% of Americans call themselves Christians. But how many are disciples? How many are true followers of Christ?

I youth pastored for many years and would tell my young people that below the belt never speak in tongues - so don't put any confidence in the flesh. that's the word! It is sad when this stuff has to go public like this- I hate it. However, according to 1 Peter 4:10 there are numerous gifts of grace so that means there is a grace for every situation...

@MrRnBSinger Yes! Finally someone that knows what God says. Can't tell you how fustrating and exhausting it is to check people when they throw out these mmisguided cliches like "do not judge" without even know what that means or what the Bible really says. Admonishment is a very integral part of fellowship- when folks are doing what they are not suppose to we are to admonish them..you do not ignore for the sake of "not judging"-- judgement begins in the house of the Lord

I just thank God, that in spite of anyone's transgression, God is NOT like man (we, at times, deem certain sins with a "level" of condonement and so forth). Sin is sin in His eyes, no matter how "big" or "small" we may perceive it to be. All we have to do is confess it before Jesus and repent. He is forgiving.

@MrRnBSinger I slightly disagree on the age factor. I know of young couples who have successful marriages, and older couples who've failed. If you're a believer in Christ, young or old, then all the tools for a successful marriage is there in His Word, if you adhere to it. And it's a must that you rely on God to give you strength and wisdom thru His Spirit in order to be the husband/wife He has called you to be. When all that is in place, young and old marriages can and will find success.

@buboat it doesn't matter what man thinks of how "bad" his sin was. All sin is equal. We have ALL fallen short of his glory. You know what i find funny? people that act like they have never sinned and want to put down someone else's sin just because it is more public.
@jamel11234
@jamel11234 13 лет назад
@jamel11234 So we can be real with someone about their sin, suggest that they step down, take some time off, give up ministering, etc...it does not mean that we have not forgiven them. "Judging" has nothing to do with it.
@ptfuller11
@ptfuller11 14 лет назад
strange how when we fall in the church , the focal point is on the sin rather than the "Blood of Jesus " . Dont care who you are.....pope,bishop , apostle ...none of US are 100% sin free....none of us are without sin !! if it wasnt for his blood !! now , go spread that !!!!!!!!!!

And let me also say this about the "anointing"..someone is not anointed because they sound good on a microphone and can command people's attention - public speaking is a talent or ability, teaching the word is a gift.. anointing means to be called, one can have talents abilities, and gifts, but not be anointed...con't

"Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?"m, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness" - we would say that these folks were anointed because they displayed gifts, but obviously they weren't. @jamel11234 Ummm I respect your opinion on the matter but I don't agree with that. No one is going to be perfect and how would we ever be able to preach about anything if we lived by that philosophy. Messages aren't preached so ppl can solely look at the pastor/leader and c if they line up. Yes it's important 4 Pastor's to walk it out but Jesus is our ULTIMATE example, so we r of course effected by it but it shouldn't stop us from doing what WE need to be doing.

@Goodlife51 :you are right we can judge by what the bible says, if you constantly lie then i can say your a liar & God is not pleased w/that because that is the truth but I must say it & present it in love. Yet and still we should not judge if we runnin around doin our on little dirt Matt.7:1-6. The problem comes when we bash instead of judge (acknowledge),pray,&love them back in line w/God. Nathan went to David about his fall and told David a story, David responed the way we do. 2Samuel 12

@kevinlbowman23 The church will never be on its last leg. Gods church is within the Believer. People turn away from church because they do not want to follow rules and be accountable. They want to satisfy the flesh and not deny themselves.

my response is simple, everyone has sinned. and BUBOAT was right in that people condemn homosexuality more, which isn't fair, but the fact of the matter is, we should all be forgiving one another, no matter what the sin. If GOD sees in our hearts that we are sincere with our apology then thats really all that matters, our opinion of it doesn't matter, because GOD is all-knowing. I have asked GOD for forgiveness of a lot and if anyone asked for mine i would forgive because my GOD has forgiven me

@MrRnBSinger JESUS said "You that is without sin cast the first stone" By no means are we to accept sin in our lives. But also by no means should we judge. You do not know what happened. You do not know the temptation he felt. You do not know what thought went through his mind. ALL SIN IS EQUAL!!!!!!!!! You have sinned yesterday, today, and will tomorrow. I have sinned yesterday, today, and will tomorrow. Just because our sin is not as "public" as his doesn't mean his was worst.

Not trying to bash Ty Tribbett or any other minister of the Gospel, but hearing things like this continuously makes me wonder is this the reason why the "Church" seems to be on it's last leg. It seems that the ministers love God but their career endeavors seems to be more important. I think that anybody that feels they're called by God to minister needs to take time to pray and fast daily for a while before picking up a mic or stepping in anybodies pulpit.
@jamel11234
@jamel11234 13 лет назад
Ok you guys are completely wrong on what it means to forgive and admonishment are not mutually exclusive. My opinion is that it is to soon for Tribbett to get back into ministry if he should even get back into it at all. He needs people in his life to be real with him about what he has done. God can care less about his ministry and his gifts, God is more concerned with his soul. Adultery is a very serious thing and evidence of personal weaknesses in his life that only God can fix....

I really can't stand some of these comments. The brotha sinned. Ok fine. The only thing that makes it a big deal is him being a recording artist. If the truth be told I hae more respect for then alot of these local pastors. Peter denied Jesus 3 times. Was Peter criticized by the other disciples? MATTER OF FACT, does the bible even speak about Judas being condemned for betraying Jesus. I look at it like this......If we were all perfect then Christ no reason to died. But he did die. For Tye and us
