I wee bit too fast, but thank God for the pause button... nailed it on the 1st shot! Cheers! I'll be using this to attach the keeper to a riding crop, as seen here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vT0VXWwHhQU.htmlm21s
Tiffany Wall to tie a long Gaucho knot you need more Parts. The Gaucho knots tied from a Casa knot have the number of Parts and Bights are close to the same. So find the number of Parts for the length knot you want to tie and the number Bights for the the diameter that you want to tie. Then you can work out the run list for tying the knot using an algorithm-diagram or a computer.
@@tomhallbraidingandknotsbym5433 the only thing that confuses me is when you split the pairs, it's weird, I can get a gaucho pattern on one side and a herringbone on the other. I got the concept of following the strand from the turks head knot, but the longer ones with all kinds of crazy pairs really confuses me. I ordered your book and it should be in my hands today. Thank you for your response and I respect the knowledge you have when it comes to these fun to tie knots.
Tiffany Wall If you get a gaucho pattern on one side and a herringbone pattern on the other when you are splitting the pairs you are splitting the pair going up (over) when it should be going down (under) on the side that is a herringbone pattern. I hope you will like the book and if you have any questions be sure and ask for any help you may need.
@@tomhallbraidingandknotsbym5433 I'm sorry to bug you but I just cant seem to get a gaucho out of a turks head bigger than 7p 4b. Is there a special trick you do with splitting pairs an still coming out over 2? Thank you.
Thank you for the excellent instructions. I was finally able to tie this! Question- can I use the same pattern starting from a 7 part 6 bight turkshead knot?
