Hi Paul, I have used both resins and tried many others over the years since they came on the market and even the old epoxy resins as well and they all had a slight tackiness to them after they cured so I have alway varnished over them to keep them clear and dry.. All the very best Davie..
Hi Lawrence, It is a great idea and I can see it really doing well but getting the time to do this would take up a lot of time which I don't have at this time of year it would be something to do more in the end of spring or the beginning of the summer..Thank you for asking and I'm sure you'll find another tyer to do this for you as there's many good tyers out there... Hi Jesse G, The main flies that I use these feathers on are the goats toe though I have used it on a few other patterns of my own like the butcher patterns for a wing rather than use the mallard blues..I have also used it on a spey fly that fishes well for salmon and steelhead...
