Natural , black , olive ... you can then vary these with a hotspot head , or a tinsel rib like the nemo pattern . You can vary the torso material to as I have with the UV cruncher .. have a wiz back on my vids and you will see a couple of my favourite variants .

Start with something simple like a pheasant tail nymph and a few tools and develop from there slowly!

Get yourself a basic kit . Venairds or similar . you collection of materials will increase as you diverse into other patterns . Start with a basic lure like a tadpole and this will give you an idea about fly shape , catching in materials etc and will usually be a good one to catch your first trout on . Then try buzzers which again are very very easy to tie and will catch fish .. it takes time but its a great hobby . I have been fly tying for 32 years now and im still learning . Thanks for watching

Get a copy of 'The Fly Tyer's Bible' (PDF available via web search). It shows simple flies and materials used, tied step by step.

Hi Rob .. I shop around but this cape and others I like for Nymphs are from Lakeland flytying . Yes if I buy a full cape as you then get a decent selection of different size hackles for different size flies
