The Scintilla Stick Caddis is a great fly for casting out in front of big brown trout that are cruising a backwater or a bay within a lake. Fish it under an indicator or suspended beneath a dry fly and hold on! This ia a great fly for setting a trap - cast it well in advance of the cruising fish and wait for it to find it ... then gulp. There are few flies that fish just can't go past and the Scintilla Stick Caddis is one of them.
