The answer here is not surprising. There's something about when the cords of music are stuck just so; no matter the forum, something that is both resonating and reflective, almost nostalgic...I guess that's also what makes it timeless. I am a fan of film scores, but not necessarily because of melody; though that does play a part. Guardians of the Galaxy was my first introduction to Mr. Bates, but "Black Tears" was the track that hooked me emotionally, the rest of the score naturally followed suit. I'd love to see the recording session for that track alone. Mr. Bates, you're is the "man"!
