They are the greatest but whoever is the sound engineer for the concerts they do need to be replaced. The instrument sound is clear but it is almost impossible to hear their voices
Larkin Poe: Megan Lovell (left), Rebecca Lovell (center), and on the right is Rebecca's now husband, Tyler Bryant of Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown. Both bands are absolutely phenomenal!!
@@navinadv Yes, both Tyler and the drummer for TBSD, Caleb, both got married last year! 🖤 That is cool to have gotten to see them both! Even if it was separately on different continents. Lol
One of the best in store jams seen from Norm's. Wonderful to see young people playing music with soul and havin' a blast doing it. This video is down, down, down in the swamp of the blues. And the sitar gives it an even more haunting quality. Ten attaboys!
Tyler is obviously a true musician and a great guitar player, but I listened to his stuff and Larkin Poe and so far, for ear candy, I prefer Larkin Poe. If he doesn't step up his game, he may find himself opening for them one day lol.
wait wait.. the 70s are back? Greta Van Fleet, The Struts, The Lemon Twigs, Tyler Bryant, Marcus King, Starcrawler, Sunflower Bean, Larkin Poe,etc!! YEEEES
This is just such a cool music session. Rebecca must have really liked the way Tyler played that sitar; she married him.👍👍👍 They're just cool people playing great music.👍💖🎸😎
Don't know about Tyler, but the Sisters Lovell are incredibly talented. For a real treat, go back to Megan and Rebecca's early YT videos as part of the Lovell Sisters. Great then, and even better now, I love Megan's harmony and especially her lap steel playing. As for Rebecca...incredible vocal range, and a pretty fair instrumentalist, too. Not necessarily displayed here, but I think she's incredible. And, yes...it doesn't hurt that they're smokin'.
I love these guys, but I'll say it again, they were like the young Beatles when they were a trio. After all these years they haven't reintroduced a fiddle in the bank. Maybe some resentment there, but give it a try. Slide gets old, real old.
Tyler Bryant is a very good guitarist and songwriter too. Just listen to some of their songs, and maybe watch them perform, it's just amazing. Saw him live at their Ramblin Bones tour. Amazing experience
I am utterly disgusted by how disrespectful Mr. Guitar Dealer was. You can see how annoyed Rebecca was, and I don't blame her for starting the song to shut him up. That dude needs a kick in the crotch.
KountryCuz1 I know right!.. She was my inspiration to buy a lapsteel. She can rock it in any style she wants and make it work! You got a great channel btw.
Anybody watching this who's intrigued by that sitar sound and vibe, i highly recommend the instrumental funk group 'Khruangbin'. Texas trio who really dive into world music influences especially Korean and Japanese jazz sounds, melded with a solid western blues and funk guitar base. They are something else, and I enjoy them as much as Larkin Poe. Anyway, peace out x
Saw Poe open for a solo Elvis Costello - some great stuff of them together on RU-vid - bought a singed vinyl - both ladies were super cool! Nice to see them at Norms
Not trying to be a hater, but I haven't heard anything from Tyler Bryant yet that makes me want to hear more of him. The FIRST thing I ever heard from Larkin Poe, I was like, "I must find everything they've ever recorded!" lol I'm open to suggestions, for sure, but so far, for my money, one is kinda just another guitar player, and the others are musical artists. ... Thus have I fed the trolls ;)
Quite the stupid comment, he wasn't trying to stand out or anything , while they were singing one of their songs , would be stupid to try to steal the show from your girlfriend.
