I tend to push people away because my last marriage conditioned me to believe they would all gradually get worse and I found comfort in his painful honesty by telling myself “at least he doesn’t lie, so he respects me.” No, he didn’t care about me or my feelings, so he was a straight shooter with me. I did have an out at one point and time, but if you can make a plan and save up money for a place or even have a family member you can stay with them hun get out please because I’m telling you once a cheater always a cheater! I dealt with one for 7 years, it was horrible he was even lying telling me he picked up hitchhikers because I set traps in his car, he also got to the point that he made me ride a bike or walk in 110 degrees and had a 3 mile walk and I was pregnant and worked fast food on top of it all because he wanted to stay at work late because he was sleeping with a girl at work in the storage closet (he was the maintenance supervisor) gross I know.... but girl please make a plan and get out that’s my point please before this gets worse and he gives you something because of the cheating and because he is cheating. From one concerned momma.
Girl, the longer you wait, the scarier it will be to start over. I wasted 15 years of my life on a man who gradually got worse and worse. The second I left and he found out I started dating someone else, he was on his knees in my driveway begging me to marry him and completely changed for the better. I gave him six months and agreed to marry him. The second that ring went on my hand, he reverted. Made me cry myself to sleep that night while he cussed me from another room because someone got grass on our carpet. Moral of the story, if he hasn’t changed by now, be sure he never will.
