Ezra Przytyk it’s just a photoshopped wig tho lol not too try hard also idk if he’s copying Shawn if everyone has been doing the wig thing since the snippets
He later mentioned that the last two tracks grew on him. “Nature of first reactions”. Hell, even I didn’t like the last two tracks of this album from my first reactions. But I listened to it more and more and now the ending of the album is really beautiful.
@@bruhmomento6691 honestly the intro from I don't love you anymore sells it to me, are we still friends is just a good ending and it functions perfectly that way. Songs on an album don't need to be a good song on their own to fit properly :P
I mean the titles alone put together I don't live you anymore .. are we still friends Well obviously not cause how can you be friends with someone who doesn't love you , sure they maybe mean in the romantic sense but still
I think the beautiful thing about the last and first song are that the final cord of track 12 is followed by the cord that starts track 1 in a cord progression, perfectly showing the cyclical nature of toxic relationships.
I saw him perform Gone, Gone/ Thank You live and it was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard in my life. The way he let us(the crowd) sing “my love’s gone” was amazing. I almost cried
U should react to Some Rap Songs by Earl Sweatshirt. It’s extremely experimental and u should listen to it with the lyrics pulled up. It’s an amazing album
all in all i just want him to react to more of the low fidelity kind of abstract hip hop that some rap songs was inspired by, its a great movement that deserves more recognition.
That's some quick editing I think the next album review should either be: J. Cole Brockhampton Drake Chance the rapper (acid rap) Childish gambino (because the internet)
Still prefer Flower Boy for the lyrics, but Igor is so creative and definitely demonstrates Tyler's insane evolution as an artist since the Goblin days.
Tyler has bars but outside of the production this album this is Tyler really becoming vulnerable about his personal life and paints a story he tells start to finish.
Always love hearing your opinion on a record mate! Been so happy with the Kendrick season and all the other vids you’ve been doing recently man. Legend mate keep doing you!💙
But the best part about the end of the album is that it’s a loop! So the last track he’s asking if they can be friends again which restarts the cycle, friends - wanting more- jealousy- trying to move on- no longer friends- friends again! Musically the last track loops perfectly into the opening track
Im just getting out of a toxic relationship so i understand why it didnt end at thank you It cant end the desperation of Are we still friends that scream at the end of the song it is manic there is no happy ending i wish my relationship ended with Thank You too Jon
i think are we still friends is a really great song and him screaming at the end is so emotional, igor is one of my favorite albums because it is so goooooood.
Seeing that you liked Igor, I highly recommend Swimming by Mac Miller. It always brings tears to me after all the things that I've been through with regards to my family and my past relationship.
Are We Still Friends is up there with one of my favorite songs of the year. I think those two songs are necessary to wrap up the album and the story. Plus, they're great.
Personally my favorite track is Are we still friends, it gets me pretty emotional every time and considering the title of the song is a question where we never get the answer it still feels like this relationship and the album itself comes to such a definitive end. The whole album is fire tho
All the interlude bits are done by Jerrod Carmichael, who interviewed Tyler in a fantastic hour long video just after Scumfuck Flowerboy was released. I'd definitely recommend watching it after listening to flowerboy all the way through, it'll really add some perspective on Tyler as an artist. Its called FLOWER BOY: a conversation
Great reaction as always my man! The whole album grew on me while i was listening, because at the start i had no clue where it was going and how i felt about it, but as it kept going i was enjoying it more and more, so when i listened to it again with more patience really hearing the sounds and how they blend together so beautifully, it really made me feel that way that only music and something we love makes you feel, if you know what i mean.
You should react to Jai Paul's leaked album - literally called leak 04-13. He's an artist who had a lot of his music leaked from a stolen laptop, but was set to change how R&B and pop sounded. He's recently officially released this album of unfinished work. He's a bit of a mystery. I think you'll like it.
Freddie Gibbs & Madlib’s Bandana please! Combination of extremely experimental production/trippy/artsy beats and heavy, street hardcore rap. Would be really cool if you did their Piñata collaboration album first. One of the best of the decade.
Im so sure the "for real this time" in the beginning of Earthquake is simply meant to say: So this is the REAL intro now... EDIT: Yeah Tyler is the master of making albums sound like the same track. - or more like a universe... He can do creepy shit next to the most lovely summer song...
I was about to write a comment questioning how you could dislike Are we still friends until I saw the edit. Feels like the ending to a pantomime or musical where the music gets elevated on the final verse and then suddenly grinds to a halt, which I personally thought rounded the album off perfectly
This.... This is your journey :) we are just along for the ride. Everything you get from this album is true I appreciate that you shared your journey with us.
hey sir denton. going back to what you said on “rodeo,” you said that it was one of the most creative things you’ve ever heard, and that if there’s something we would consider “more creative,” then we and you would need to have a talk on what good music sounds like. well as a counter, i would like to see you react to or at least give your thoughts on the new self titled album from injury reserve, where it’s debatable wether or not injury reserve or rodeo is a more unique sound in rap music. thanks for reading this if you did.
Pleaseee do Flower Boy and Cherry Bomb!! I think you need to see his progression & how his music is so different yet the same. Grown up with this guy and OFWGKTA & I’ve loved every album along the way.
