I love that Igor exists as his own character, like he truly exists beyond Tyler's universe unlike his other personas and that's what made it stand out to me.
My take, is that cherry bomb, was an assassination of his goblin trilogy personas, then flower boy, was coming to terms with that. Igor and the persona in call me if you get lost(forgive me I forgot his last name) are rebuilding after the destruction that was cherry bomb. I find that cherry bombs all over the place nature was like his different personas dealing with the fall out.
Another great video man. I've been binging your Tyler, The Creator series and it makes me appreciate who he is as an artist and as a person a lot more since I have really started to enjoy listening to his music for almost an entire year now. I love indulging into all the lore his albums hold, such as the meanings behind his biggest and darkest lyric-wise songs such as "IFHY" and "PUPPET" and these videos explaining the lore make it all much better. I certainly can't wait for the next video on Call Me If You Get Lost. Love, Shane
@@TechnicalDifficulties No problem man, keep up the great work and I can't wait to see what you end up doing next after you finish the tyler videos series.
This was a amazing break down I have to follow your entire Tyler series. I went to one of the hardest times in my love life and Igor got me through it just to hear the breakdown makes the impact listening to the album even better thank you keep up the amazing work with these breakdowns🙏🏾 ❤
I always see this take that he barely raps on the album and imo it is a bit of a stretch. He raps a bit on I Think, there’s that take your mask of verse on running out of time, he has the agressively rapped verse on new magic wand, whole a boy is a gun is rapped, on puppet its kinda between rapping and singing, then of course whats good, there’s rapping on gone gone/ thank you as well as i don’t love you anymore, so the only songs that don’t have any rapping from tyler are igors theme, earfquake and are we still friends. I agree that it’s genre bending and has a lot of moments where he sings and has those r&b/neo soul elements, but still i think hip hop is one of the main genres covered on this album.
i dont know if its true at all but i think tylers igor album is inspired by frank oceans first love story. in igor tyler talks about being in love with a man who has a girlfriend and the same thing happened to frank too and before frank came out he had told tyler about his story and tyler could be inspired by it idk if its reaching but i really think its true (english not my first language sorry for the mistakes) :)
never believed in the loop theory. are we still friends ends in a b flat synth but it fades out. and i believe the igors theme synth is a d because tthe song is in d minor and d and e flat are right next to each other
@@TechnicalDifficulties you hook the end up/unnatural rising inflection, of yr sentences in an unnatural wanna be cool way. a baritone version of the kardashians??, n having a deep voice and vocal fry are 2 different things. yr speaking style is reminiscent of the fakery of social status climbing in The Kapital populace in "the hunger games". but as the cool/fake kids say, "you do you" btw i loved the vid. on the sneaker pimps.
@@homebrandrulesI appreciate that you liked the video but it’s not to sound cool it’s how I read lines to be more engaging and tell a story lmao. Trust me it’s much better than reading a script monotone. Sounds like your projecting to because that’s such a weird comparison imo.
I really hope Tyler’s singing gets better to the point where can just straight up sing on his songs, it would be so sick, but please don’t sing like ye😭😭. Like heartless is nice and all but like not for my boy T
