I liked Lil Wayne old shit like right after Hot Boys and Carter 2 especially. He got really generic and then tried to go in a new direction with rebirth. I thought it was a decent album ,but people hated it so he went back to even more generic shit. He would have lost some album sales if he said "Fuck you I'm doing whatever kind of music I want to, i'm not trying to please the haters" ,but I think his real fans would had mad respect for him. He can drop some ill tracks when he's doin him.
