Rea, you can’t compare type soul to fighting games, the games combat is ass. It’s literally just spam projectiles and gap closers in neutral. Once you land a gap closer, spam all your moves in the most dis-orientating way possible in hopes they hit, if you get dodged or parried flashstep away and reset to neutral. Rinse and repeat. The combat isn’t good, imo the best part of the game is second releases and more overworld stuff because it makes it feel like bleach when I pop bankai and the guy I’m fighting pops res and we have an (unbalanced) but spectacle like fight, but the base combat is ass.

Ima be honest, I dont like fighting Hakuda users because the air time mechanic in the game is janky, like you can interrupt a combo but still be stuck in the air for a good 2 seconds. So honestly, just rework the air time mechanic, dont even nerf Hakuda.

if you couldn't punish strata strike which goes through everything ( if you dont have a counter ) then it would be OD and you can use other moves to "movestack" them on top of it. idk if it need a rework since its a really good sb compare to other sbs in the game and with the essences being added to the game, if they buff it more then itll be essences level damn near.

The counter point is kinda weird to me because these arent instant counters like most games on roblox they have a start up and endlag.

Deepwoken has multiple counters, my personal favorite is predict, because with the sufficient talent cards you can punish people who play ranged by just reflecting and doubling damage that they throw out blindly. (example being starkindred fire blade) This is a counter that can mainly be used in neutral because of its windup, making it difficult to use in fast paced close quarters. Honorary mention, payback resonance, which depending on the variant you get is either the worst or best bell in the game.

A problem with the player base when it comes to Balancing is what needs to be balanced Benihime for example it's z is near Instant and a buggy mess and the c used to true combo into anything since parrying it did not stun the Benihime user. tho the c has been fixed. a problem i have been seeing with the new devs is releasing unfished stuff and failing to give them readable animations and start up audio keys (which everything should have)

The only thing i will complain is the amount of hyper armor moves being added, I remember back then the only main ones being water fall dance and starrk laser but now it’s like a basic Quincy slash move has hyper armor instantly or before the nerf the Hakuda essence having instant hyper armor into the move

Thank you reaconteur, i can't count the number of times I've been called an m1 and crit spammer, Kendo spammer (how do you even spam kendo), and 'runner' just for avoiding attacks I know are close ranged and also not jumping into their attacks.

i just don’t get how my damage and the damage done to me is incomparable. like 1 m1 combo gets rid of a whole bar while i’ll do a whole combo 3 times and manage to do at most a bar and a half

I completely agree, general is unusable. Bug reports is literally mostly used for suggestions from people that dont know what theyre talking about. The type soul community is like a small child repeatedly bashing its skull against a wall, later wondering why its bleeding.

I wish for only 1 thing. For the love of god, type soul devs, fix W button breaking atfer being gripped. There are so many bugs and yet this is the one that doesn't let me enjoy the game. I don't even know where do i report bugs lol.

the devs shadow nerfed one of berserk's passives, the passive is that when you limitbreak 60 or above at 0.5 bars you will gain a buff to swingspeed which makes your m1s kinda semi-true, they removed it 2 weeks ago which was very unfortunate for me, as i used to main berserk since the very first release, it was really frustrating that they didnt add that detail in the patch notes, and i had to actually find that out.. well it was a good ride ig. RIP berserk

when it comes to the whole thing about strata, i think they definitely went in a good direction by making it dodgeable icl, its more of a move used to look for an opening in someone not paying full attention

good video, one point i'd like to make is that not only does deepwoken do counters better than type soul, they don't implement frame 1 counters making it not just an objectively better parry

Overworld players are lowkey the worst, they will be the ones to attack you first yet have the audacity to summon 5 goons on you who won't hesitate to pop mode in a 6v1. And don't even get me started on light users, mfs are always on look for any opportunity to pop on someone for no reason to the point where you could see ATLEAST one light full res in almost any server, you can hear them nuking people even if you aren't nearby.

The issue the game has is that the developers don't know what they're doing, the community is annoying but the state of the game isn't their fault like, at all The developers can script fine and make cool effects, but they don't test, they balance based on their biases, they constantly released unfinished and honestly broken content, amongst dozens of other issues that any experienced developers would never do, they're insanely unprofessional and treat this 30k player game like it's a small friendgroup ran closed community game Biggest problem is that you can never trust what they release, they'll drop something that's either busted to hell or extremely underpowered to the point it's unviable, and after 2 days it'll be the complete opposite, and then it'll get switched back constantly. At least with the old devs you know that when they released content it would serve the intended purpose and always be viable, now you need to constantly be checking update logs to make sure the build you're using is still even *playable* anymore, no game should be like that Raid Bosses were fun for a few days, then every viable strategy to make them less of a skill spam competition got disabled because people were just having too much fun finding creative ways to use weapons or skills, same can be said about everything else, as soon as anyone finds a creative way to accomplish something other than "spam all your skills and give us money for marginally stronger luck based drops" it's gutted, reworked or disabled

The game sucks literally grinding is a pain in the ass and dealing with people that jump literally on hollow progression if you don’t have friends or don’t make a alt you’re gonna be stuck on that hollow to vasto lorde forever

The biggest problem for me in Type soul is the toxicity like you could parry a haukda guy in ranked and do pretty well then they call you carried by Death dealing or sumin after you win or lose like what? or you could be minding your business tryna trade or something and get 3v1’d and when you lose they trash talk you. Another problem is the devs keep nerfing Rei regan like ik speed is supposed to drain a lot and you aren’t supposed to spam but I don’t even spam fr and a kendo player be having like 5 bars of rei all the time 😭

I don't think sr's need defense buffs, like the other races. people fall back to this as an argument to them being weak and squishy but then when I sudgest one of their shikai moves be unsuable (also like the other races) for "balance" compensation like how balancing should work. then I am suddenly a quincy/arrancar ret4rd.

5:37 only reason benihime is "bad" now is because you get punished for USING the C. As long as the enemy isn't straight trash you can punish it because it has 3 years of endlag. The Z got a needed nerf (it shouldn't stun for as long as it did), and the X didn't need the nerf, but it didn't really hurt it too bad. If the C has decreased endlag benihime would be in a good spot

lets be fair benihime NEEDED a nerf, having like a 25 second dodge that comes with a unparryable attack is crazy

Honest to god this game's community is actually the worst. (Not gonna go into detail on the 23 times I got gripped yesterday when trying to get partial on my new Kendo slot) After Hakuda got nerfed and lost its air guardbreaks, I saw people still saying its OP and needs to be nerfed again. I said "I dont think its as OP anymore cuz its easier to escape. You can just hold F and escape. I use Devil Partial and everyone escapes easy now" And then he called me a meta abuser Hakuda Light user. Despite me saying I use Devil Partial, which isnt even close to meta. Its as middle of the road as it gets (except for the new Full Res buff which is insane)

No matter what i will hold resentment in my heart for the quincy kido speed user who runs away and spams those moves that put you in the air, even if its made for range it just works too well and is annoying

the issue is you think video games replace your life when they arent supposed to, the point of a game is to beat it, the current pacing of the game is pretty alright compared to how much content it has, if it had deepwoken level content they could add more grind, the counter point is most the map is empty, and being able to compete with other players with equal gear and the ability you desire without wasting away your life is not too much to ask of any competent developer

fun fact, just yesterday people cried to me for using m1s (I use freacking long sword) But to be real almost everything is fine in the game, the only true problem imo is the fact that i have to chase someone for 30 minuts straight during a ranked cuz they dont even wanna attemt to parry my m1's

i personally think, for someone to nerf, or balance anything, you must use it first. benihime c is currently your cero corezon. without hyper armor. or the ability to keep them stunned during the whole duration. benihime is startk but without a bad cero corezon. its decent but way worse than something like ice, or fire, or (everything else) note: they clearly dont test the balance changes, they make.

on my life the games needs more competent devs that know how to bug fix , old type soul devs clear in terms of bug fixing and balancing

till this day idk why people call speed so braindead when it takes the most rei out of the paths and does the least dmg+ all the koves are so easy to parry

the only "nerf" hakuda needs is consistency, i can parry an aeriel combo move and well both get put down but im on the backfoot because the game decided i needed to stay in the air longer. All you get for parrying Hakuda is a reset to neutral at best or in the air at disadvantage because im in hakudas range. However any other class that gets parried after greeding for more damage are on their backfoot.

Only thing I ask for is lightining's shikai C move not bypassing block. Like it has no wind up and can go pass block like wtf.

Type Soul Biggest Problem is that that the bosses are boring and grinding them is just meh. They should change overworld(KT, HM & SS) boss spawning and how it works. Instead for Example, In Karakuri Town Each of the Espada should Spawn randomly around the world (with icons) and killing them drops rare, legendary loot but once they are all killed; Aizen then spawns on the bridge and he goes through 2 stages of transformations until he is killed, Once killed he drops an Orb that only the first 5 players who click on it will receive some mystical rewards. (But there is a time limit on how long it takes to kill him before he despawns)

I beat an ice long sword speed kendo build, and I was using miracle healer and got called miracle carried. The Schrift isn’t even good

My personal issue with this game is they really like to release things that are unfinished and just kinda forget about it to release more shit, judgment and arrogante are STILL unfinished and arrogante has been around since re-release

Whenever im playing type soul and complaining about something...i usually ask what other people i usually play with that tend to have the same stuff, we then mess around and test the stuff out to see if my complains are logical. Admittedly the benehime triple use slashes didnt need to be nerfed in the way they were, it would of been just as fine if all 3 slashes were used when its used once instead of 3 use slashes that could confirm into just about any move if used up close. With the new deathdealing aswell they could of just made the domains slowdown not as severe, making it so your opponent had to force you to stay into the zone instead of trying to limp out of it at 10% normal speed

I genuinely lose brain cells when I peep in the discord because if it’s not code requests or someone saying the N-Word it’s them asking questions that they LITERALLY have the answers for in the discord or on RU-vid

Type soul moderation is kinda bad. There are a lot of improvements but I'm pretty sure when someone tells me to wipe irl, they are telling me to harm myself. Yet the moderator closed my ticket without punishing him and the reason was "it wasn't against the rules".

For me instead of just complaining about hakuda and cry to sleep, i got this GREAT IDEA called GETTING..GOOD and guess what IT WORKED

After playing type soul for awhile the community in of itself is absolute dog water, Yea there’s toxicity and TOO much toxicity, hell didn’t know teaming up with different races was possible until now, It’s constant camping on spawns, teaming because your shit and other things along with it

the thing is, not every country has a server nearby, so type soul pvp just feels awful depending on where you live, it's not always the internet that causes high ping. Of course, just an appointment, still think that you're right and internet still is a problem.

That’s what I’m saying bro, people be complaining to nerf things or buff things that are literally two days to maybe three days old but maybe if you tried to find the good in the thing la they use, they wouldn’t be complaining as much. I’m tired of them nerfing things easily counterable by just being good and mind you, I got all my good stuff from ranked which actually required hard work and effort but now, people get vizard by doing an hour of boss raids, something that took me a week to do.

My take on counters is that I hate them. But if the counter is exclusively a get off me thing where you simply counter their attack and don't get to punish them for hitting your counter (either by knocking them too far away or giving them s) then it isn't that bad.

If you're spamming and your opponent fails to counter your spam, that means you should keep spamming. When it comes to fighting games you're supposed to adapt to your opponent's moves, in a scenario in which you keep spamming the same move on me and you destroy me in a 1 on 1 (Knowing you, Reaconteur, and your sheer talent, I know that someone of my kind stands no chance against you) that would be a skill issue because I failed to adapt to the said spam you were performing, you were exploiting a weakness your opponent had, meaning that your opponent lost because they lacked to skill to appropriately adapt to your moves and your play style. In summary: Don't be mad at the spammer, be mad at yourself for getting whopped by the same moves and techniques, learn how to counter said techniques instead of whining and begging for said techniques to get nerfed or weakened.

yap from a kendo user who agrees: you obv dont use the hakuda moves everyone gets mad ab (mainly skillboxes/essences like crazed blitz). i think people are just traumatized by hakuda users, so they grimmjow claws nd start seeing red. a lot of hakuda players ARE BUILD CARRIED, but u definitely aren't. it's a really unique build that people arent used to seeing, which is why people get so confused and don't know what to do, then proceed to make assumptions. i think maybe the parry windows should be a lil bigger since ping is so inconsistent and hakuda is reliant on parry timing. they could revert it to the old state and this change would still be more reasonable than more nerfs. maybe even more parry opportunities bc the 1 combo death builds actually disgust me, but idk hopefully balance improves (to a point where people can stfu nd be happy)

The amount of grunts that flamed nosrepp like two days ago because a code didn’t work over a patch that released A MINUTE AGO(at the time) is insane😭 I felt so bad cause he apologized in advance and still, nobody cared. Also, about high rarity shrift/partial/shikai as well as weapons. I feel so bad for the mf’s who constantly spin for the legendary or mythical rarity abilities..like dawg, you have good rares, good commons(Well, maybe not Quincy shrifts, then again, Quincy just isn’t it for me), but you know the deal. I had light since it came out, cool, a mythical. It got boring because everyone wanted it, and everyone had it. And then it caught nerf after nerf and I know it has the segunda(which I dont have yet, i’m just lazy for that) and I spun off it, what did I get? Pantera! It was cool, was new, I liked it, same for pheonix. We dont need everyone with everything rare, what ever happened to variety?? (Kind of a jumpy yap sesh, but whatever, ya’ll get the point!)

'hot' take but there should be able to disable pvp or have worlds dedicated to pvp and some dedicated for the grind. the game should be hard because of the actual content in the game, not because some elite grade decides they just want to jump a random grade 3 just tryna progress thru the game. like you shouldnt be scared of someone jumping you during a trade/banking ur items and losing your loot cuz a camper decided to just wait until someone came by. and why do they keep pumping out updates instead actually improving the base grade, like theres SO many glitches in the game and so many qol changes that would make the game experience so much better. like if they really care that much about the spammers crying about updates how about they actually mod their chat???? if they just used the mute function then the general chat would be 500% better

you haven’t even mentioned how they removed lost soul and need to bring it back. i’m disappointed in you. also, stratus strike is such a dirty move. i’m legit starting a combo with something like flower passage, get teleported, because of flower passage go a mile away and then have to dodge a move that’s halfway impossible to dodge. maybe i’m just bad tho 🤷‍♀️

Frr, also pre nerf Benihime (i never used it, but fought it extensively) was not as unbalanced as Deathdealing imo. The only slightly unbalanced thing ab pre nerf Benihime was the range of the C moves pull, other than that u can legitimately press fast fang when u get pulled and appear behind them thus negating the move entirely. Also even if it was really strong, its a mythical, the first ever mythical shikai how are people complaining about losing to it when it is meant to be on the same level as Light and Deathdealing. And also it isn't unbeatable like literally just have good ping and press f. Furthermore being able to use mortal ties after a single move is not broken, in fact I can name several other things which allow for that combination. Anyway I yapped way to much, W vid i couldn't agree more, the community sucks!

The only thing i wish for is that people just weren't so damn spiteful and annoying, like recently a raid finished and this player stole the whole create, so i just hit them once and left out of annoyance and they just decide to kill me, any where i go im killed and its so aggravating that it ruins my time playing especially since im playing on console

I feel like hakuda's biggest imbalance is the 'air combo' mechanic. I would say that hakuda is one of the most easily accessible skill trees, because it is so strong when positive and against most players shori makes it easy to enter a positive state. Honestly, what makes me the most annoyed when fighting hakuda isn't the actual combos. It is seeing people who should be somewhat above average (low masters) play like dumbasses in neutral. TLDR : the air time mechanic of hakuda trains its users to be overly reliant on the game when they are positive and doesn't help them lesrn neutral

The thing they need to do is fix the parry. Make it so it’s visual cues and not guessing if the move will come out and press F. That’s not fun nor is it really fair.
