It’s that 2.4L that is infamous for burning oil and seizing, our 2011 had to have the engine replaced by Kia as its a well know issue with that 2.4L engine.

Theta 2 engines had bearing issues and later oil consumption. When the bearings go it puts the car in limp mode. Hyundai has extended the warranty to lifetime for the short block, but you need to of had the knock sensor update recall performed or they’ll deny the new engine. Also have all of your oil change records.

Interesting, but makes sense being in neutral. Just curious, for the shifter, the manual override is punched through the console. Why not start at pulling the console cover and check to see if thats damaged and blocking the shifter?

My first and last Honda in the 80s, you name the part and it failed, three bad parts should have been replaced by the dealer under warranty. Bro, please try to keep the glare off from the scanner, we really like to get a full list of codes if it's not huge, we also would like the total number of modules, some scanners count them for us, and some scanners number them on the left side so a scroll down to the bottom would be nice please. This is a good reason to charge for your time, the lot is lucky you moved to under the hood or you would still be looking under the center console and still charging more time.
