Check out ALL the passing highlights from Tyson Bagent in the 2023 NFL Preseason meanwhile BEARSKIFILMs Daveski breaks down why he feels Tyson Bagent should be QB2 on the Chicago Bears roster while on BCP Bears Country Podcast!
His pocket presence is amazing for a rookie, very quick to react to pressure and identifying where his escape lanes are, while keeping his eyes down field
This Kid will have a great pro career. He has the poise already and leadership qualities. Watch how his teammates react to him after he scores. That's the quote unquote it factor. .
@@teleamorFields has a stronger arm and faster! Bagent arm isn't strong that's why he under throwing, and he isn't fast as Fields that why he got stripped and gave up a touchdown. I am glad he is the backup, he isn't better than Fields. Fields is better! There isn't a contest.
I encourage everyone to watch any RU-vid videos on this kid….his story is absolutely incredible…literally like a movie script playing out right before our eyes in real life.
Yah it's a pretty wild story. IDK there's something about this kid. He has an "It" factor. He just keeps beating the odds no matter how stacked they are against him. Hoping he has a long and successful career. 🤞
I agree, but that prompts my question. Why didn't a D1 college program have their sights on this guy in the first place? Also, it begs the next question. Why do NFL teams slobber over these athletic QB's that have "upside" and expect them not to perform immediately when being paid so much money. The media and fans give high picks like Fields to much leeway. He should perform right away. He's being paid a salary that justifies a better performance. Just my thoughts
Well search his father Travis who has been a top arm wrestler his whole like ..who kinda put his career on hold to devote it to his son with another coming right behind him
I see a moderately athletic, solid pocket passer with good touch and timing, comfortable in the pocket, good feet and good form, someone with reasonable escapability when the pocket breaks down, a quarterback who can pick up first downs with his legs when there's space and who generally doesn't seem to panic or force throws or make bad decisions. Less upside than Fields but less downside as well.
Footwork, poise, accuracy, strong arm (58 MPH), steps up in the pocket, quick release and makes a quick decision. If he can read NFL defenses consistently it's easy pitch and catch.
Loved what he showed during the preseason! I would even say in some cases he made plays that JF, wasn't making. I'm honestly a little concerned about Fields, he's still making some of those mistakes we saw last season, with adequate time in the pocket. Fields is a running talent no doubt about it but will he be a better passer this season I hope so but not holding my breath. I hope I M wrong but I'm not yet seeing it, I know I know it's only preseason.
I like Tyson Bagent because of his athleticism. If Fields misses games you dont totally lose that aspect of your offense. But keep it in perspective, the excitement is because hes a young gem. Fields needs room to make mistakes w/o ppl calling for a replacement. Young QBs on teams that are not great need to be able to make mistakes without the fear of being pulled after every bad play. Not starting on a mediocre team and sitting behind Andy Dalton like hes Aaron Rodgers was a wasted year. This team is 1 year removed from dumping all of their talent for draft picks. 6-9 wins and hopefully the Carolina pick gives them a shot at a Marvin Harrison Jr.
You bring up good points but what really bothers me is that in 3 years, Fields hasn’t been able to anticipate throws or throw his receivers open. That’s a mental aspect of the game he should’ve gotten by now
I was so happy with this pick up. He is a great addition. Worth every dollar. I think if he got a chance somewhere hes likely not going to be giving up the reigns like Brady did.
What the fuck are the Bears doing? You have a gem in your roster. Forget Fields, it sucks to say, but start Bagent and see what he can do. I wished Fields was our guy, but Bagent seems like the pocket passer Getsy and co want.
I like justin fields, but bagent looks more relaxed and more comfortable, and it looks like he can SEE the field and adapt to the defense better did he make mistakes? YES, but for a backup 1st game, with no snaps prior in the reg game, he looked comfortable
Judging from the preseason, Fields is losing nothing in the room with Bagent. His experience at passing and reading defences is ahead of many NFL QBs. I think he can help Justin keep calm and keep his head. On another note, I think I will miss Fountain. We need secondary receivers who can hold onto the football.
@@Yatazachqa-E-S Passing leader?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡 This season? Suuuuuure, off of their only win of the season. Never winning anything, with Fields on the team, let alone starting. He'll end up like Trubustky did.
@@starwarsjunkie7777 yeah that's why even with the 30th overall worst OL and lack of healthy n decent receivers he still completed over 60% of his throws and had an 85 rating. Not too shabby for a "rUnNInG QuArTErBaCk🥴"
Given the horrid start the Bears have had, I wouldn't be surprised if Bagent starts sooner rather than later. The team is horrid; the offense is garbage, Fields has if anything regressed, and the defense can't stop anything.
I'd like to see the Packers come last in the division, their fans views are so warped because they've been pampered for the last 30 years and they credit their "coaching" (McCarthy's doing great right?!) And not their two h.o.f. qbs
@@BearskiFilm ….the Packers fans are seeing what we are seeing as well. Bagent literally has the same footwork…throwing motion and field awareness that Rodgers has. Is he perfect?…no. Kid has huge potential…he has the talent and the tools to be successful in this league.
@@graysonbuttercheeks3136 great comment, very true. Kid definitely looks comfortable in the position and looks like his experience will be able to translate to the NFL level
Bears need to get off this pass happy garbage offense though. Boring football. Go back to running the ball, with a 2 RB set. Every team lines up in the spread formation anymore. Wish the NFL would ban it, to be honest. Boring, like college football.
HE MIGHT BE THE FUTURE LOOKS DECISIVE DOESNT LOOK AROUND GETS RID OF THE BALL ALSO RUN I THINK HE MIGHT BE BETTER THAN JUSTIN ANYWAY BEARS GOT TWO GOOD Q B HOPE THEY CAN AVOID THE B QB CURSE
