For me, Vitali was less “polished” but he was (is) bigger, stronger and more aggressive, and above all, has a chin of stone, never knocked out. Despite the unfortunate cut stoppage, his performance against Lennox Lewis was superb, he took Lewis’s best shots and landed some huge shots that shook Lewis. I think the best comparison to be made between Vitali & Wladimir is how they both handled the same opponent (Corrie Sanders) with very different results.

He was very far from elite world level. He fought a washed-up Oliver McCall and fought so poorly against Lennox Lewis, he nearly had his purse withheld. He was not in the same class as Frank Bruno, was even further away from Gary Mason, and was a millions away in ability from Lennox Lewis. British class level - yes. Elite class level - not even close.

The ref stopped the Lewis fight because of excessive holding and clinching. Henry didn’t let his hands go at all, he must’ve froze.
