"What a fantastic name Tyson Fury let's hope he can back it up" 11 year later he's the undefeated and undeniably the best heavyweight champion of our generation 😂
Is he though ? He's still only faced 2 'worldclass' opponents. (A 39 year old Klitschko that he just squeaked past and a one dimensional puncher in Wilder) Statistically Joshua and Whyte have faced far better opposition. I fully expect people who don't understand boxing to come down on me but we shall see won't we, I will definitely be putting a large bet on Whyte if they ever fight. The fact he's been no1 contender for nearly 2 years and constantly sidestepped is a disgrace.
@@bigdaddy4069 I guess you'll see me as one who does not understand boxing yet it is you who fails to understand the sport. First off, which Klitschko fight were you watching? Tyson gave Vlad a boxing lesson, end of story. And lastly, if you ever bet against Tyson Fury you will be throwing your hard earned dole money down the drain.
It basically is, Gyongyosi weighed 191 lbs in this fight without cutting any weight for it. He could probably get down to Super Middleweight with a decent weight cut. Fury had a 70 lbs weight advantage here.
Tyson Fury trivia: He was born prematurely with a birth weight of 1 pound. I repeat... 1 pound. Look at the man now he's a fooking' Giant in body mind and heart!
This is exactly the stage Tommy is in right now . People are quick to doubt the kid because of who he’s fighting and the way he looks but many forget where Tyson was before he became a champ .
He was a highly touted amateur. Beat David price in the amateurs but price got to go to the Olympics and won bronze. Tyson probably could have won gold
This fight was a prime example of why Fury is a unique Heavyweight compared to today's punchers. His hand speed and ring quickness were there for all to see. His fight against Wilder was a classic match up between a puncher and a boxer and in that contest Fury once again showed how a puncher with hand speed will win.
87Kg vs 118Kg for the ones like me who struggle with fantasy units, also the sizes (and reaches) 2.06m vs 1.92m. Before facing Fury Gyongyosi had 14 fights 3 wins 9 losses 2 draws, and after that fight Gyongyosi stopped boxing for 7 years...
Yes stage managed all his career and dodges all the good guys in the division , the only risk he has taken was facing an old man , won’t face AJ or Usyk or RUiz , he’s a fraud
‘Let’s hope he can back it up’ lol I remember these days and his early fights as an amateur...I knew then he would make it and I called it..god bless Tyson Fury 🙌🏻
Fezziwig18 you do know that fury actually was the one that got knocked out cold in the first fight only he only woke back up from the jolt he felt when his head bounced off the canvas . He said after the fight he didn’t know he got hit with the left after he got caught with the straight right n was unconscious before the left hook caught him. Forsure be more of a band wagon fury fab tho you dork
@@vinceventura4453 wilder was about to be knocked out cold if his corner didn't save him. Btw it wasn't even the canvas that woke him up as he was clearly still out cold on the floor. Still fury won that fight on points and out boxed wilder the same round
I remember watching this fight with my dad and we both thought with the right training would on day probably win one of the titles, even that conversation underestimated just how good he could be.
Interesting that Rob Mcracken was his coach back then. Fury has certainly taking a bit of wind out the sails of AJ now , can see Whyte winning against Chisora and giving AJ problems next Easter and throwing the division wide open. Exciting 2019 fir the HW division.
Lewis would make short work of him....all these current heavyweights are overblown hype.....but theyre making more money than ever!!. George Foreman in his prime would blown this current crop away.
My only advise to Tyson Fury is to always appreciate what you have. It takes not being selfish ever. You will do well and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
The minimum weight for heavyweight should really be raised and a new weight class put in the middle. That dude should not have been in there with fury.
