I always wondered why Bolt got so much flack for being a bad starter compared to Gay who didn't get much despite Gay having a worse start. At 4:27 he got beat out of the blocks by Lemaitre
Usain bolt had pretty good starts. He was inconsistent but never bad and infact he accelerates very quickly for his height and especially in his prime. The real bad starter is Joseph fahnbulleh
Bolt bad starts are really exaggerated by the media. Bolt is pretty much flawless in every part of the race, it is just that his top speed and last part of the race is godly so his starts look average in comparison. Bolt actually has the second fastest 60m split of all time and only su is faster by 0.02s.

This is the running form you show to teach young track athletes how they're supposed to look. It's also ridiculous how often you see Asafa Powel right there or ahead of the featured runner in these sub 10 videos.
@@afrobuddy4801 His top end speed was always ridiculous. If you're head to head with him for the first 60m, he will destroy you unless you're Bolt but even Bolt had to have a super start to destroy him.
