This video includes footage from all of the sub 20 second 200m sprints that Usain Bolt has ran throughout his career. 19.30 Beijing 2008 removed due to copyright
People bragging about Other sprinters running more Sub 20's than Bolt; That's because Bolt was too busy jogging the non Sub 20's Only championship Finals Bolt takes seriously. You can't predict Bolt. 🇯🇲
Word. Those sub 20 second 200m don't really count as much as running them in the Olympics and World championships. And since it's a long track season, you don't always need to run hard at the risk of injury. You gotta pace yourself to conserve when it matters.
@@afrobuddy4801 Only the current crop can hope to surpass that record. Lyles, Bednarek and Knighton. I didn't include De Grasse as he's turning 27 soon.
Incredible the amount of sub 19.6"/19.7" results he has! Besides, in some of his 19.5"s he eased off through the line and the same he did in 19.32" London 2012 olympic final.
@@jackcooper3193yeah he could run 2nd fastest 200m ever. After bend his back become sore so he didn't push it hard as he didn't want to risk any injury and he didn't think he would beat 19.19s. If blake didn't push bolt he might slowed down more so good he did.
Bolt really knows how to time his best performances. Its evident with the big time jumps he has from non world championship events. He can be running 200m around the 19.7 to late 19.6 all year, and then once hes in the world champs or Olympics, he jumps all the way up to 19.4 and below. Same goes with his 100m performances, all year he sits in the 9.8-9.7 range and then world champs he goes sub 9.6. Every other sprinter in the top 10 all had their best performances during non world championship/olympic events.
Yeap he just get better and better in ever race as the years and grow into it as he gets older go by his technique improves his speed and his power the guys is just the best sometime it’s just unbelievable to see this man run 😢
It's crazy how bad Bolt form was on the 2nd 100 of the 19.19, at the top of its form he really had the chance to get the sub 19. Sadly it won't happen for a long time now.
@@rlouistv1152 man watch his form in the last 50 meters, he himself admitted his form wasnt good at the end, and if you compare for example the Yohan Blake 19.26, with a crazy last 100m, i cannot believe Bolt wouldn't be able to pull off that aswell.
Bolt was racing himself his whole prime. Other people have records to break to become the fastest ever and that's added motivation. Bolt slowed down at the end of races bc he already has all the 100 and 200 records
Man that guy Spearmon was good. I looked him up and it is sad and unlucky how he never got an Olympic medal. In 2008 he got bronze but got disqualified for line stepping and in 2012 he came 4th being 6/100 of a second behind the 3rd place. Insane.
Running a sub 20 second 200m isn't easy for someone of his size because of simple laws of physics it takes a lot more power and strength to move a bigger heavier object. Bolt actually had to work much harder than the other sprinters cuz he was literally a sprinter in a basketball player's body. But that just all leads to his greatness to overcome his anatomical, biomechanical, and physiological disadvantages to be the legend we all know.
I have never seen anyone improved that much in one year. Glenn mills is the best coach. Not only bolt but Blake made a big set up from 2010 to 2011 as well.
After London 2012, his body was just deteriorating slowly as time went by. His form was getting worse but he was still beating these guys like it was nothing 😭🔥
If you watch from the start his flexibility and stride length improved out of sight as the years went on. Flexibility is way underrated. Any sprinter that seems a bit stiff they can only improve if they work alot on flexibility. If you usually run 200m in 88 strides then stretch so you can run it in 80 you are way more economical. In the near future I guarantee training will go this way more and the public will know about it. Right now it's just a thing just a few have trained. 18.80 is not as far away as it seems.......
That victory in Lausanne in 2008 with the 19.63, he completely took the piss! He probably made up the stagger even faster than at Berlin with his WR. Jogging by the end as usual...
The man is on drugs, for sure. You don't knock almost a second off your 200 pb once you're past 20 years old, and he did that the year prior to the Olympics.
