Its because they just take their leaders words for it without understanding anything that they are being told. How else can the Republicans get away with tax cuts that increased the deficit directly and blame the increase in the deficit on spending that increases because of the inflation that comes from the wealthy having more money to spend from the tax cuts. For anyone listening in, prices go up based on how much people have to spend. Tax cuts increase the amount that people have to spend and inflation results.
